The US is a nation of many peoples. To pretend we are a cohesive soup is a fantasy. Instead, we can recognize the discrete parts for what they are, and appreciate the additive result. Sticking our heads in the sand blinds us. Open your eyes and take in the tapestry.

@NotoriousAKG Indians have the lowest rate of unicorn founders of any immigrant group. If we kept total immigration the same, and treated it as a bucket fill optimization problem selecting for unicorn founders, we would have… zero Indians.

> indians are low IQ, unskilled, underpaid workers >> data says the opposite, including ceos of many high profile american companies > they were made CEOs by jews, they became CEOs through nepotism. what have indians ever created? >> here's several companies Indians have founded, including being the top origin for unicorns > mmm well you know what, those companies are just apps

Ask what all of these “billion-dollar tech startups” are and it’s an app you’ve never used and/or has objectively made everyone’s lives worse.

Compare to the biggest positive outlier, India. When India tested, they put two of their academically best-performing states in the ring and performed quite poorly. But Indians abroad are highly select and do extremely relatively well.

Here's something pretty interesting from the PISA dataset For most countries, their expats' kids are smarter than their own kids. So, for example, British kids abroad tend to be smarter than Brits at home Not for America. The kids of those who left tend to perform worse Why?

@RichardHanania For example, if we limited the Indian immigrant ratio to be proportional to Israel’s (importing a percent of their home population that is 8.5X their unicorn odds) we would reduce Indian immigration by roughly 90% annually. Fair is fair.

The woke right threatens the principle of meritocracy and American prosperity more than woke leftists ever could. Giving blacks and Hispanics 25% of jobs by quota would do a lot less damage than closing the country off to talent from across the globe.

@AleResnik Israel sends 0.062% of its population here as immigrants. Highly selected. Let’s compare the top 0.062% of Americans if you want a fair fight, Resnik.

The country whose immigrants have founded the most unicorn tech startups is India, but Ryan somehow forgets to mention that.

@AlexNowrasteh UK, France, Germany & Russia are the only countries below the trend line. They deliver strong founder yield while we accept a smaller % of their population than expected. We are under-accepting skilled immigrants from these high-performing European countries. The data is clear.

Ryan forgot India because he knows his negatively-selected fans would be mad at him for pointing out that they are the most successful ethnic group in America. Still, I would compromise with Ryan and allow free immigration from India, East Asia, Europe, Israel, and Iran.

@norvid_studies some are pro-life and so think embryos should be considered living beings. some are pro-choice and so think embryos should be considered lumps of cells. but I am a bayesian and so think they should be considered probability distributions.

@avidseries @RyanGirdusky Per capita. This suggests we’re merely seeing them because there are so many. We could easily fill that quota with other impactful immigrants who don’t actively want to destroy our institutions, public spaces, and olfactory neurons.

@ikirigin Nope - total population doesn’t matter for this stat. It’s the population of Indians in America vs population of Israelis in America that the above statistic counts.
