@cecililytweets Mega Meganium is a great Pokémon in a lot of ways, but some of the best Megas in a restricted format are the ones that prey on it pretty heavily, (Gengar, Metagross, Salamence, Rayquaza). Right now it only has to contend with Gengar out of those lot.

@LovelyLuwuna @supahsanti Don’t get me wrong, Basculegion is a better Pokémon overall in this meta, it’s just not really outclassing Mega Starmie when the times of team support they need are very different and they aren’t going to be slapped on the same teams to begin with.

@LovelyLuwuna @supahsanti Right, but Basculegion requires weather advantage or using your scarf to be able to outspeed things, or relies on Aqua Jet. Starmie is easier to facilitate speed advantage with, and with items being so restricted in this format, requiring a Mega Stone isn’t as big a deal.

I rly wanna stress how much of a step above S+ tier is compared to A tier. The Top 5 are srsly in a league of their own
