The math of growth only works if the culture is bulletproof. We’ve seen too many 'absolute numbers' collapse because they ignored the people behind them. For us, employee care and brand image are the non-negotiables that make those new variants possible. If the foundation is solid, the growth rates take care of themselves.

Another advantage of focusing on growth rate rather than absolute numbers is that it makes it easier to switch to a new variant of the product if you discover one. It makes it easier to see tails that will eventually wag the dog.
