Story time.
I quit Magic few times, it was ALWAYS because after some time I just remembered that lands is a terrible system.
The last time I quit it, I went to GP Manchester (or Paris, I can’t remember). But after playing the entire event I realised that 33% of my games at that event were decided by either me or my opponent not having enough or having too many lands.
I realised I can’t be bothered to play a game where 1/3 of the game just doesn’t matter.
That was my last time with competitive Magic.

For comparison, in my years of playing FaB and SWU I remember like 2-3 games overall when bad draws were fully deciding a game.

Every TCG is going to have non-games. Non-games are the result of variance which is something TCG's need. Some people feel like Magic's non-games are worse because the variance comes from the mana system, so a MTG non-game is "you don't play you cards." In reality this is no more of a non-game than some Hearthstone card doing something random to kill you out of nowhere, but Magic takes more heat for it because it feels worse. It's basically the same concept as how in Commander you can Doom Blade your opponent's commander and it's fine, but if you counter it they get salty. The result is the same, but the Doom Blade gives you the illusion that you were actually making progress and doing something. It tricks you into thinking your decisions mattered, but really they didn't. Non-games in other TCG's do a better job of giving you this illusion, to tricking you into thinking that they aren't really non-games because you are taking game actions and doing things. But really they are the same as getting mana screwed.

Jako kibic Pistons mocno trzymam kciuki za, żeby Hornets skończyli na 6. lub 7. miejscu.
Jedyna drużyna, której pod żadnym pozorem nie chciałbym widzieć w pierwszej rundzie playoffs na Wschodzie.

The whole goal of these items are to be visionary goals to work/farm towards (or get lucky). The item system would not be fun if these things would be easy to achieve.
Realistically no content in PoE requires you to have those items.
You can cheat your way to get them, but it won't carry any of the emotional value you'd have by acquiring them the real way or getting super lucky.

I have a very clear and easy stance on RMT.
Purge it with fire. Good thing GGG is cracking down.
I like that PoE stays away from P2W practices.
Also NO RMT user will ever admit they use RMT.

People are up in arms, but 2 is by far the best option. Play-in teams and teams that are first-round playoff exits are included in the lottery. Lottery includes record last 2 years. Basically there’s no real incentive taking to avoid play-in or 7/8 seed

The NBA presented three comprehensive anti-tanking concepts to its Board of Governors on Wednesday, with modifications expected to each before a formal vote in May, per ESPN sources. 1. 18 teams in draft lottery (seeds 7-15 in each conference) – flattened odds, with bottom 10 teams having an 8% chance, the remaining 20% odds distributed in decreasing order for 11 through 18, and and a lottery drawing for all 18 picks. 2) 22 teams in lottery using 2-year record (seeds 7-15, plus the four playoff first round exits in both conferences). Lottery teams would reach a minimum win total floor in each season, such as 25 wins. If a team falls short of the floor, it gets slotted to meet the floor. Top 4 drawn as part of lottery, as is currently. 3) 18 teams in a "5 by 5" lottery – bottom 5 teams have equal odds for the top pick, with lottery formed for picks 1-5. Bottom 5 teams have a floor at 10; those that fall out of top 5 get sorted in a separate drawing.

Looks like either the Timberwolves or Grizzlies will be joining the Eastern Conference.
Interested to see how an expansion draft will go — teams with good depth would get punished.

Breaking: The NBA's Board of Governors has approved a vote for the league to explore bids and applicants for expansion teams exclusively in Las Vegas and Seattle, sources tell ESPN. A bidding process is expected to generate offers in the $7-10 billion range for each team.
