They've 100% changed Lewis' set-up. Visibly struggled for grip due to lower tyre temps. It'll help with going longer in the race. The problem now is that he's going to be faster but has the slower Ferrari in front. Hopefully he gets back into position quickly tomorrow.

Lewis has generally been a lot quicker in the GP than in the sprints so I'm not too worried for tomorrow, still margin to find. The hard is the race tyre and the balance of performance might change then.

@brakeboosted there is no way we are faster than the mercedes on one lap and in the race. there hasnt been a race where that happened . less fuel i guess or pu higher

My opinion is that FER has pushed the PU a bit harder than the others in FP1. The delta on the straights has come down throughout the session, but I suspect there are still some games being played by the others.

#BritishGP 🇬🇧 TYRE PREVIEW happy home turf race week! 💛 Pirelli has selected the hardest compounds in the range. C1, C2 and C3 due to the high severity of the circuit, which causes tyre degradation. The accelerations reached in some sections exceed 5g, similar to what is seen at Suzuka and Spa. Wet tyres may also come into play in Britain. For two consecutive years, it has rained on Sunday, leading drivers to use the Cinturato Intermediate tyres. The track surface is not abrasive and has relatively low roughness. It offers a good level of grip thanks to the continuous use of the circuit throughout the year. Silverstone will also be the host to a Sprint race, meaning teams will only get one Practice session before immersing into track action.
