Julie Williams was among educators reminding the @councilofdc what is at stake if they don’t fix @MayorBowser’s budget cuts. “…we do not do it for the pay, we do it for the value for the parents and the families," she said. Interesting: @ChmnMendelson says he hadn't yet found $60 million to keep the Pay Equity Fund (which increases pay for childcare workers) alive or $39 million to avoid a waitlist in the child care subsidy program. He says he'll still pushing for both, but they are challenging.
