Yeah I live in an overpriced shoe box but I took the train to the beach for a morning walk, went to the MOMA, had incredible food for dinner, and paid $30 for a comedy show to see some of the biggest headliners in comedy. I’m tired of pretending of living in NYC isn’t amazing.

Michael Jordan averaged 8.2 free throws attempts/game for his career (8.7 on the Bulls) with a career high of 11.9 attempts/game. For reference, James Harden has shot 8.2 free throws/game with a career high of 11.8. SGA has shot 7.2 free throws/game (8.2 on the Thunder) with a career high of 10.9. LeBron’s averaged 7.5 free throw attempts/game for his career with a career high of 10.4. Jordan fans also will tell you that the only way LeBron can score is at the rim. So shouldn’t a guy who flops and only drives to the rim shoot a lot more free throws than a guy who never flops and scores from all over the court? Yet it’s the other way around. Or maybe that’s not the case.

It’s funny to me how many Jordan fans swear putting him anywhere below 1 means you don’t know ball but everybody I’ve talked to that works or has worked in an NBA front office (pretty large sample size) says LeBron and it’s not close. I’ve heard more NBA employees put Jordan outside of their top 2 than put him 1st. That doesn’t mean there aren’t some that would, but the number is very, very low. If there was somehow a draft with ever NBA prospect ever and you said you’d take Michael Jordan over LeBron James you’d be laughed out of the room. I’ve only ever heard one other name and it was not Jordan. Michael Jordan was hands down the greatest player of his generation and will always be one of the most iconic figures in sports but there are levels to it. Nostalgia is one hell of a drug.
