Zionism is a response to world chaos. The Jews didn't just randomly show up to Mandatory Palestine one day. They were finally pushed back after a failed liquidation attempt by "enlightened" Europe. Even the countries which didn't participate in the Holocaust still kept Jewish refugees from coming in. They wanted nothing to do with it. The reason Jews went back to Israel and continue to go back to Israel is outside countries refuse to keep their Jews safe. They allowed their Jews to become the targets of hate groups and hate campaigns and those Jews elected to leave. This is hard data. The worse you treat Jews, the more likely they make Aliyah to Israel. Zionism is the final destination of antisemitism.
