@JBagley I only use Spotify. Mainly because Apple sucks so much. That being said - I've got a handful of shows that I swing between so don't have a major discovery need. But yes... podcast apps are atrocious. Used to use something else but that was also bloated.

Do people actually use the Spotify app to listen to podcasts? (I mean I know they do, but 😳) The discovery of podcasts is terrible, the speed options are not granular enough and you can't categorise podcasts, only episodes. I'll rather not listen to Spotify-only podcasts.

@JBagley Ipad is good enough for that. Keyboard isnt great for long typing, but its doable (i’ve used it at times to draft mails/ideas). As a media device its great. A lot more friendly to lug around than a mbp

@Unodewaal My old MacBook Pro serves the same thing as you - but I have to plug the damn thing in and out all the time to be just to do the light admin / media stuff. That’s really starting to irritate me.

Thinking of replacing my seriously ageing Macbook Pro with an M1 Mac Mini and an iPad Air. I already use my Macbook in clamshell mode and have my desk setup that feels like it's running a desktop. But thoughts on the iPad as my run around / secondary machine?
