@DrSpratticus I don’t understand where this 1 in 3 w/ testosterone deficiency is coming from. Sources cited in article show transient, minor drop in T in (still well in eugonadal range; and some hypo pre op improved post-RALP). Certainly not enough to account for undetectable PSA.

Learn something new every day! Never knew testosterone so frequently dropped post-RP. May explain why sometimes first PSA is undetectable but recurrence happens months later when T recovers. Or it is meaningless and just a factoid great to ask med students and residents.

Cancer cells require 20-30x more glucose than normal cells to survive. A ketogenic diet cuts off that glucose supply, starving those cancer cells. Meanwhile your healthy cells switch to ketones and function perfectly fine. Every cancer patient should at minimum know that ketogenic diets are an option worth discussing with their oncologist.

Very substantial reduction in mortality despite screening too late, too high a threshold, nonattendance in intervention arm, contamination in control arm, diagnosing too much low-grade dz, marginal dx/tx quality, and other issues. & NND 12 compares well to anything in prevention!

Tips for passing diversion stents through ileal conduits robotically? I've been folding the last ~3cm over and passing the crease of the fold instead of the tip of the stent and it has easily cut my time for this step in half. Just snags less somehow.
