In January Manchester United had the opportunity to buy back James Garner from Everton who was in his final 6 months on his contract but they didn’t and he eventually signed a new one. Having watched him play at Everton, I can say he is a beast, an engine in midfield, could fill in at Right back when needed and so so good on set piece delivery. Bruno Fernandes was once asked who he was excited to play with from the academy and the answer was “James Garner”. Now Everton value him at 60M which is a lot and I don’t think United can go back now. What could have been 💔
