The problem I see with “experts” like @RadioFreeTom is they actually believe you can become an expert without ever having Real Life Experience, in the Real World.
The Navy made the mistake of hiring a guy who refused to serve because his colorblindness disqualified him from the one job he wanted. So instead of serving in another capacity he bailed altogether, but wanted to be in uniform so badly he wormed his way into a job teaching in the very field he was disqualified from serving in.
Some study war from the sidelines for decades. Others actually fight it. The classroom shouldn’t be a consolation prize for those disqualified from the field.
You can’t become an expert in war if you’ve never fought in war, just like you can’t become an expert boxer without actually putting the gloves on, and getting in the ring.

This framing just fries me! The tragedy (and the story to be told here) is that an ICE agent shot and killed a non-citizen simply because he was attempting to flee. Whether he had a work permit or a social security number is UTTERLY IRRELEVANT!!!!
In fact, according to the Govt he had a final order of removal. If true, that means he could be detained, he could be arrested, and he could be removed. What ICE cannot do is kill people indiscriminately simply because they believe the person has no right to be here. THIS is the story and the fact to be outraged about!.
