@Jabes522 @MelatKirosCO Where are they going. The US has some of the lowest tax rates in the world. That's why there are so many billionaires in the US.
English

He’s right bc we tax income, not wealth.
Bezos takes out a tiny salary, pays the income tax, and lives off loans borrowed against his stocks, basically tax free. They all do this and now 935 billionaires hold more wealth than 170 million Americans.
It’s time to tax wealth.

@RobotPete Airshow planes and fighters are two different use cases. For an airshow you want small agile trainer aircraft like the BAE Hawk or its multiple competitors. Main line fighter aircraft aren't always the right selection.
English

Let's be clear. Replacing a jet with a prop is a joke clear and simple. In fact it is degrading.
Canada is getting the F-35, the best jet fighter currently available. We need to order another 15 F-35s to give the SnowBirds the capabilities to take on the world in airshows and to make kids want to fly.

The next generation SnowBirds… Ridiculous!

@TheKanehB @shaneshort They had two way pagers in the 90s. Cell phone text messaging killed them.

@PeterPetsel @RebelNewsOnline Why is it always "need". Can't we own thing that we like?
English

@RebelNewsOnline Can you explain a circumstance that a private citizen would need to own an assault weapon or a semi automatic firearm?
Yea, me neither…..so relax Karen and stay in your lane.

'Ridiculous' Liberal gun grab will have 'no effect' on public safety: Tracey Wilson
“It's pretty blatantly clear that not only is this politically driven, but they know full well there is zero evidence that this is going to have a positive impact on public safety,” said the Canadian Coalition for Firearms Rights spokesperson.
An access to information request filed by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation confirmed what many have suspected: Public Safety Canada has no evidence to suggest the Liberal gun grab will improve safety.
The information — or lack thereof — confirmed what Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree said in leaked audio published by Canadian Coalition for Firearms Rights spokesperson Tracey Wilson.
On this week's episode of The Gunn Show, Tracey joined Sheila Gunn Reid to share her thoughts on the shameless attack against legal firearm owners.
“When Liberals think nobody's listening, they tell the truth,” she said of the leaked recording, adding cabinet ministers know it won't impact public safety but is a strategy designed “strictly for votes in Quebec.”
However, the CCFR spokesperson said she was “still glad” the Canadian Taxpayers Federation filed the access to information request to add an additional layer of evidence against the program.
The Liberals' assertion to their voters that the gun grab would be an evidence-based policy was also an affront to their own voters, she said.
“It's pretty blatantly clear that not only is this politically driven, but they know full well there is zero evidence that this is going to have a positive impact on public safety,” Tracey said, noting that “crime is out of control” in the country while the federal government is concerned with confiscating legal guns.
“They're banning guns from law-abiding citizens like you and I, who've never done anything wrong,” Tracey told Sheila. “To suggest that this policy would have any positive impact, especially when you're doing all these terrible things on the softening of sentences, is ridiculous.”

@KYMaverick1 If the number of convicted criminals in your country is high enough to affect an election you may have deeper issues you need to solve than voter disenfranchisement.

@latterdaylaura Still can't get past the misogyny, hebephilia, and bigamy that seems to run rampant in your church. Not to mention that the tool that started it translated your book from gold plates in a sealed box while he was staring at a rock in his hat.
English

People like to tell me I belong to a church started by Joseph Smith.
Wrong.
I belong to the Church and religion that Adam practiced. That Abraham practiced. That Isaiah prophesied of. That Jesus Christ established.
Joseph Smith was a tool that God used to restore His Church on the Earth again.
At least try to understand what we actually claim to be.

@ThrillaRilla369 To a point. I think there should be a generous tax free threshold, but there's a lot of older multiple millionaires that wouldn't have any trouble meeting the tax obligations

@GasPriceWizard The Ford truck doesn't have a large enough battery for a work truck. The Chevy EV seems to be a decent truck base on the reviews and can be had with a huge (205kwh) battery for actual truck duties like heavy loads and towing.
English
@rosegoldthakur @PeterDClack @GasPriceWizard I don't know that all EVs are better than all ICE cars, but they are better than a lot of them. Batteries last for over a decade now with active temp control, ride and comfort are on par, body and frame should be as good but that will vary by brand.
English

@PeterDClack @GasPriceWizard These older generation is too egoistic to accept tbat the EVs in general are much better than an ICE.
English

Tens of thousands of brand new EVs are gathering dust in mall parking lots across America.
Tesla is facing its worst 'success story' in history - more than 50,000 unsold vehicles are staring at the sky from lots never meant for long-term storage. These are sleek ghosts dumped like garbage into overflow lots while sales face the death of a thousand cuts.
Tesla's Cybertrucks are piling up in shopping centers and EVs everywhere have become pathetic symbols of rejection - despite aggressive overproduction and artificial targets. Storage overflows on this scale for new brands has never happened before in US history.
This is a result of shallow climate hype propped up by public money. The EV glitz is dying quickly as the $7,500 government subsidy vanishes. Buyers aren't snapping them up anymore.
The market is readjusting to this staggering reality. Buyers aren't biting. The EV graveyards are an analogy for the collapse of a promised glittering future that simply stopped working without a taxpayer-funded safety net.
This is definitely NOT the glittering electric future they promised.

@MAC_Arms Firearms through the mail are a normal thing up here in Canada. Not sure what the concern is. I'm assuming adult signature on delivery requirements are avaliable from USPS.
English

…and they blocked comments again. Why? Well, that’s because what their post fails to tell you is that people have been mailing guns through FedEx and UPS since before most of you were born. This is more mindless fear mongering.
GIFFORDS@GIFFORDS_org
If handguns are allowed to be mailed through USPS: - Criminals can get their hands on firearms more easily - Gun trafficking will increase. That’s exactly what will happen if the Trump admin enacts this dangerous rule. We must reject this major threat to public safety.
English
@GasPriceWizard Why is it always hydrocarbons? Why not a nuke or two to power all they need.
English

None of which is built w/o the hydrocarbons you demonize & would restrict.
Good luck with powering these things. Unless you’re willing to build 3 more Site-C dams, the U.S. will remain you primary source for energy … all powered by coal
Or you could use your hated natgas 🙄

@leobaduria @MobileSyrup @GeelyGroup There are more affordable models with manufacturing plates that have been spotted on the roads in Toronto. None of the sub $35000 ones though.
English

@MobileSyrup The worst EV strategy for entering the Canadian market. You will not attract a large customer base. #BIGFAIL #Lotus #Geely @GeelyGroup 🙄
English

Not quite the affordable EVs some were hoping for.

@BradenLOA Can we stop with the state stuff? Territories yes, states no. 50 is enough (57 if you're Obama). I know you didn't say state, but others in the comments are. With statehood come congressmen and senators. This is a communist nation. We don't need such reps in congress.
English

I'm thinking territory status as a type of waiting period type thing. Give the communism enough time to fully purge from the bloodstream
