There were over 139K duplicates on the rolls in 2020. Illegals, people that have never lived in AZ voted. SoS didn't have control of the IT system, but Hobbs 2 party vendor did. MVD registered everyone, regardless of lawful residence. Hobbs elected democrats not the people. Aren't you the "reporter" that said you didn't have the time or bandwidth to investigate this? Yet here again , you comment on issues you haven't investigated. That makes you a parrot for the left. So much for non bias reporting. At least be fair , and call yourself "Capitol Democrat Support Service"
Capitol Media Services 📢 Telling it like it is@azcapmedia

And yet Arizonans on a statewide basis have elected a Democratic governor, secretary of state, attorney general as well as both U.S. senators - all with laws that require citizenship proof to register and ID to cast a ballot in person.

@MorosKostas The first day I started carrying a gun, I carried one in the chamber while carrying an appendix sidecar holster. It just seemed logical to have a round in the chamber.

Pretty normal for a day or two, maybe a bit longer. As a practice run to gain confidence that the trigger doesn't magically pull itself in a proper holster. But beyond that, empty chamber carry is silly. Many self defense situations won't involve enough time to chamber a round. Even if you do have a second or two, unless you have practiced it a ton, adrenaline may make you botch it.
✳️Ⓐ Armed Joy 🔫💣@ArmedJ0y

Being terrified of carrying one in the chamber is the most bizarre thing. In the beginning I get it, that's normal. But I've carried every day, everywhere, for 4 years now. Have worked out, swam, ran, fallen out of a truck, laid on it, driven hours with it on, fallen asleep with it, been punched directly in the holster, twisted and bent every way imaginable. Gun never went off. It's almost like it's designed like that. I don't even think about it anymore. If you don't trust your firearm to function properly, you probably shouldn't be carrying it around at all 🤷‍♂️

@UGlobin36458 @GunOwners Voting does work. So does lobbying and adding justices to our courts. They all work in conjunction. And they all need to be used for leverage. If voting doesn't work, then the left wouldn't do it.

Millions of gun owners aren't registered to vote, and millions more don't consistently cast a ballot. Voter apathy is a threat to the Second Amendment and every gun owner should understand what's at stake heading into the midterm elections.

@CRPAnews I have a question, The Connecticut ban and cook county ban both mirror California's. How can California continue to defend their ban instead of folding like they did with may issue schemes after Bruen?

Could This Be the Broadest Gun Rights Ruling Yet? CRPA President Chuck Michel explains why this could be one of the broadest Second Amendment rulings the Supreme Court has issued a decision that guns "in common use" can't be banned. If it goes that way, it wouldn't just resolve Duncan; it could also revive California's own AR-15 ban challenges, including the Rupp and Miller cases. #secondamendment #scotus #ar15news #californiagunlaws #2aadvocacy

Are you tired of losing yet, @CityofHBPIO? It’s time to do your job, create the housing your community needs, and stop wasting taxpayer dollars on defending your ridiculous NIMBY agenda.

NEW: A court just rejected Huntington Beach’s latest attempt to dodge its legal responsibility to plan for housing. Another loss for the city. Another win for California’s housing laws. NIMBYism is over in California!

It's time for a national billionaires tax and a new social contract. 10% of Americans own two-thirds of the wealth. Wages have stagnated. The cost of living has skyrocketed.  The system is fundamentally broken. The federal tax code, a corporate code, and an inheritance code were written for a different set of Americans.  It’s time for an economic reset. @gavinnewsom" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">substack.com/@gavinnewsom

@MorosKostas @tweetingmatty Besides that, when do you think we should hear from the court on if we get a cert grant, GVR, per curiam or denial of the listed hardware ban cases?

@MorosKostas @tweetingmatty Justice Thomas and Alito are not going to live forever, so we need a per curiam or a cert grant for one of these hardware cases. Preferably duncan and a AW case. Or one of the other AW/ mag ban cases.

Also, I think the odds of the hardware cases getting a GVR have, unfortunately, skyrocketed after this. I'd say for the first time that a denial is not the most likely outcome any more (but remains very much possible). GVR is better than a denial, yes, but it will just lead to more delay and waiting. Courts like the Ninth Circuit will absolutely not strike down hardware bans unless SCOTUS rules on that issue directly. It doesn't matter how clear the hints are.

Very long thread on the Wolford ruling is complete, you can find it here. Overall, Wolford was actually a bit more expansive than the narrow win that I expected. It cast doubt on other "sensitive places" restrictions, seemed to even clarify just a little bit what "arms" means, and aligned with Hemani in rejected overly-broad analogues, finding the middle ground between Bruen and Rahimi.

Jake's turn. For the record, I actually personally like both these people and wish they didn't flee to BlueSky. But when it comes to 2A, they are not operating in good faith at all. Specifically, they both disagree with Heller and have never identified gun laws they think are unconstitutional, because neither wants a meaningful individual right to exist. They should be honest about that. It's troubling they get to (mis)teach law students on this stuff. Anyway, "arms" were certainly used for self-defense at the founding, even if firearms were less common for that purpose until a little bit later. Self-defense with arms has always been a thing, ever since early humans began sharpening sticks or stones.

Heller did reject interest balancing. Those lower court opinions adopted Breyer's *dissent*. Bruen corrected that and restored what Heller originally said. She knows this and is pretending not to understand it.

@MorosKostas How does this affect California? It is my understanding, that the ninth struck down California's vampire rule, but kept Hawaii's intact. Thus, this case got taken to SCOTUS.

For those that missed it, here is today's thread going through Wolford v. Lopez. I'm very pleased with the ruling overall, and congrats again to Alan Beck. I was honored to get to help him set up various moot courts to practice, and to provide feedback on some drafts. He's a 2A hero, forever. I need to stop staring at a screen as I've been at this since just before 7am, but excited to read through the decision a second time to pull out key quotes and then update my pending law review article with the new material. I look forward to releasing the first draft of that publicly soon to crowdsource some feedback before I revise it further towards publication. I was just waiting for Hemani and Wolford before doing so.
