@VPDHorses @VancouverPD Great photograph. Question: How are the officers chosen to be in the VPD Equine team? Do they have to have a background of being riders previously or are trained if novices?

@StephKall @VancouverPD The snow build up is very difficult to avoid. They have metal shoes with a 3 point borium tip. Cooking spray works for a short time. But mostly we are sticking to hand walks and rides on cleared and paved roadways. Mounted units is areas with consistent snow use snow pads.
