Took my dogs for a walk around South Norwalk today. There's garbage all over the sidewalks. If I were a business owner with a storefront here, I'd be cleaning it up in front of my store at least. No pride in curb appeal anymore.

I'll reply here for everyone's access. I think the race to "no-code" was based on a hypothesis that didn't pan out in reality and it's time for people to accept it. Code is far too complex to fully abstract into a cute GUI. The more you try, the more interface clutter the user has to deal with, the higher the click cost becomes, and you end up with massive reductions in efficiency along with a laundry list of technical limitations. You also can't "empower" people beyond the natural learning curve of the industry. All you do in these cases is empower them to do really bad work. With @EtchWPOfficial, we're focusing on using a GUI only for the areas where it actually brings tremendous benefit and avoiding the areas where it only increases costs/inefficiency/etc. Keeping the GUI hyper-efficient means there's less buttons, icons, and levers to focus on. Users don't understand the mental tax they have to pay in complex interfaces with dozens and dozens of visual cues, panels, buttons, etc. to keep track of. Exposing the code ensures there's no technical limitations and that complex work can be done more efficiently and with no interface learning curve. I can do dozens of side-by-side comparisons demonstrating these facts. People will say, "But it's only faster for you because you know how to read and write the code." To which I reply: YEP! And you're so much more capable of learning than you think you are, my friend! When you stop buying the no-code lie and realize there's no future in it (especially with AI), adopt a real tool and learn real skills, you'll feel: - Far more confident - Far more competent - Far more excited and motivated - Far more inspired - Far more free - Far more empowered (because no-code is literally fake empowerment) - Far more useful and valuable in the market Everyone has a choice to make.

Someone on the Norwalk, CT subreddit just said they overheard the SNEW crew say they still hadn’t found the cause of the outage. Over 10 hours and they still don’t know?! WTF @senatorduff. What kind of third-world infrastructure are we working with here? @Norwalk_CT

Hey @senatorduff , would you mind lighting a fire under SNEW?! Power outage in South Norwalk since 4 AM. Almost every outage takes 8+ hours to fix! Not good for tourism or the restaurants on Washington St. Need a better plan.

I fear for our country. If we can't discuss and debate our differences without fear of violence, where does that leave us? We must find common ground instead of resorting to violence against those we disagree with. We may have more in common than you think. 😔

8 days of my dog Rusty having coughing fits. Took him to an Emergency Vet this past Saturday. Back at the Vet tonight because he had a Almost 2-hour coughing fit. xrays showed nothing on Saturday. Heart, lungs good. Any ideas? Acts fne except for the cough.
