Jabi Lake is trending because Pastor Sarah Omakwu knelt on the altar to beg Wike not to ruin the only recreational space left in Abuja, after he agreed redevelopment with an Indian-led firm. The area was designated a recreational park by President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2007. Until February 2026, when Wike reached a deal with two estate development firms; Suburban Broadband Limited and Akida Hills Limited, to transform Jabi Lake into a recreational hub in Abuja to promote tourism. Wike didn’t really explain why, he only hinted that, people took too long to develop properties which causes speculations, land grabbing. However, a representative of Akida Hills said they want to build a landmark attraction compared to Times Square in New York and the Dubai Fountain Water Show, due to the central location of the lake to be completed before 2027. Locals are saying, the park is the only green space in Abuja where people freely go for relaxations, games, sports, meet ups and to connect with nature freely. But now, like other parts of Abuja and Lagos, this “redevelopment” will price many people out of enjoying nature. Instead, Wike should improve, not redevelop it or change it from what it is, because it is the only landmark left in Abuja still retains its cultural identity. Unfortunately, fencing and demarcations already begun at Jabi Lake. The Olumo Rock used to be a recreational area too, until estate developers. Follow @TrendingEx for daily explanations!

Autopsy is trending because in a new twist, justice could be delayed for late Mene Ogidi who was murdered by ASP Nuhu Usman, as police say they want to confirm the real cause of his death. Ogidi’s family were allegedly unable to find his body. So, Delta Police PRO, explained that his body is in the mortuary and his family has unfettered access. However, since it is a suspected murder case, due process must be followed i.e. an autopsy is compulsory to confirm the cause of death. Since a suspect is innocent until proven guilty by a competent jurisdiction. Bright Edafe Delta Police PRO, however, assured that the evidence is clear, and justice is guaranteed. But due to current low confidence in the justice and police system, Nigerians worry it could be another Mohbad tale; with extensive and inconclusive DNA results and drama, delaying the case and eventually freeing executioner cop, Ogbebe. In fairness, the police is saying, they know Ogbegbe shot Mene. But to make the case strong, the court will need more evidence, such as a pathological report, the cause of death, and the time of death. They would then use both video and medical evidence to nail Ogbegbe — it’s protocol for every case. Because Officer Ogbebe’s lawyer could argue that in the video, Mene was still alive, and the bullet only hit his arm or it was a blank shell or it missed him. Then the case turns to manslaughter, no longer murder. Every criminal is labelled “suspected” or “suspect” because only the court has the authority to convict a “suspect” of a crime. Until then, they are described as “suspect”, even Anini was a “suspected armed robber” until conviction. Follow @TrendingEx for daily explanations.

Ekuke is trending because of this viral video where a Pitbull on the loose almost killed a local dog before the owner intervened. Yet it took him exactly 14 seconds to break the pitbull’s grip-lock on its neck. The owner blamed the Ekuke, arguing that the Pitbull is not usually like that, and something must have triggered it. Concerned persons still advised them to keep it restrained, otherwise if it attacks children, it will be a bigger problem. Ekuke is an Igbo nickname for Basenji breed of dogs, commonly referred to as local dogs. They are smaller, not physically aggressive, just dramatic. Pitbulls are muscular, violent and deadly. They bite and hold for longer due to their muscular jaws. A pitbull’s bite is about 250psi. An Ekuke’s bite is about 150psi. A human’s bite is about 120psi. If there was no intervention, the Ekuke would have died in minutes. Follow @TrendingEx for daily explanations! Move your estate electricity vending to @VendrNg and get free ₦10k on your prepaid.

They teach their children that America won World War II. Which is, and this is important, not technically false but is also a form of organized forgetting. The Soviet Union lost 27 million people defeating Nazi Germany. Twenty-seven million. The Eastern Front was the war. What happened in Western Europe after D-Day was, from a military scale perspective, the closing chapter. Americans know Pearl Harbor. They know D-Day. They know Hiroshima. They do not, in general, feel in their bones the weight of 27 million Soviet dead as a fact that shaped the outcome of a war they believe they won. This isn't ignorance. It's curation. History gets curated to produce a specific psychological output: we are the people who save the world. We showed up, we sacrificed, we won, we rebuilt Europe with the Marshall Plan, we were generous in victory. This narrative, repeated for eighty years, produces citizens who experience American power as inherently benevolent by historical nature. And those citizens then cannot understand why anyone resists it.

@Mishael81 @OgbeniTemitayo @arojinle1 Oga na lie! Informally, soldier can be used to describe any military personnel of any specialty or rank. The word didn't originate from modern time it originated from ancient times where a soldier is someone trained to defend his country, whether if he fights on land or ship.

@OgbeniTemitayo @arojinle1 They are right. There is nothing informal about the armed forces. A Soldier refers to an Army personnel. It is civilians that started referring to all of them as soldiers. Naval personnel are referred to as sailors. Both the rates and the officers. Na banana camo be wahala

My God!, y'all literally have no idea the weapons technology that exists today⚠️ When some of us tell you these things, instead of learning to understand, some people will shift to calling you 'western puppet' 'US asset' 'US propaganda' Just last night I had to research on this 'ghost mumur' device the US used to locate their missing pilot in Iran; a device that works like an amplified ECG machine used in hospitals, stuff feels like Alien tech because u need to place probes on the skin to get the minute electrical signals from the heart on a normal ECG😖, these guys at Lockheed Martin built a machine that can do this wirelessly from 40 miles away while mounted on a helicopter 👀, it can locate u just from ur heartbeat even inside a cave, unbelievable🙆🏻‍♂️ They give snippets of their capabilities using action movies! They used a distorting sonic/radio frequency weapon in Venezuela when the captured Maduro their president, reports say that hundreds of Venezuelan soldiers at the palace fell to the ground vomiting and confused because they were hit with a 'wierd radiation blanket', how else would u explain 20 guys defeating more than 200 Venezuelan forces, go back and Watch the movie THE INCREDIBLE HULK 2008, this sonic weapon replica was used there to sudbue the giant at the university campus scene⚡️ U can like them or hate them for whatever reasons, but these dudes are not anyone's mate on the planet at this time, they're far ahead of everyone in terms of technology! I am seriously paying attention and learning, na just war chest of resources I no get, yet🤦🏻‍♂️ They do not have 2 heads, Nigeria must be great too🇳🇬🚶, mtcheew 😤

The US is so advanced. It used a 40-mile heartbeat detection device to locate the missing pilot. Again, they have things that are yet to be known.
