@Jacobweyker @mrhulthen I feel like both Exodus and The Expanse: Osiris Reborn will get multiple sequels. Exodus has created so much lore already that it feels inevitable.

The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is getting me pumped. Here's what I learned during my interview with the devs: ☄️Companions will have one 'exploit' ability each. These include precision, demolition, malfunction, and cyber attack. They will impact the environment in various ways. For example, in the trailer we see J blowing up some cover with his 'precision' exploit. ☄️There will be a closed beta for those who have purchased the Millar's pack or collections edition from the Owlcat website. ☄️The Beta will have a story mission, combat encounters, exploration, character interactions, and use of the workbench. You can play as either a male Earther or female Belter - both can be officer or hacker preset. ☄️Equipment can be upgraded and have a sort of skill tree where in you can pick between two or three perks per upgrade. ☄️You have skill trees as well, and we saw one for shooter, gadgets, survivalist, and leader paths. ☄️Your character also chooses two social (environmental) skills at character creation from six. These include persuasion, athletics, engineering, and hacking. These will aid in 'checks' throughout the world. Like athletics being used to move heavy objects, or hacking used to.. hack. However they also come up in conversation. Athletics would help you disarm an enemy, for example, where as persuasion can help you in various situations. They can be upgraded. ☄️Your background (Earther, Martian, or Belter) will have perks that can influence your starting social skills. ☄️Your companions will have their own two social skills and that will aid in meeting the 'checks'. So bringing companions along won't just be for their combat expertise. ☄️It's unlikely that you can be a traditional evil in this game, if there is such thing as traditional. But it is confirmed you can be an asshole. ☄️The operator playstyle has various drones, some functioning like companions and others more like skills. ☄️You might need to deal with the reality of your choices. My understanding is that a Paragon adjacent character isn't always going to have the best outcomes. ☄️They have staff that worked on Cyberpunk and Halo on the team. ☄️There is an active pause system in the game, so you can assess the situation but it won't exactly pause time. It slows it. ☄️We saw an example character loadout. Two weapons, three gadgets (add skills), and four subsystems (like passive ways to fine tune your character). Though it's unclear if more slots open up. ☄️Belters are tall, like in the books. Over 2 meters tall were as your earther is around 175cms tall. It’s supported in all the cut scenes and animations. Like getting behind cover as a belter won’t mean your head sticks out. ☄️There is no green, blue, gold style of weapon drop rarities. There are guns and gadgets you can get only one unique way; but don’t expect diablo style weapon and gear chases. You can try out weapons for a while before before committing to their skill tree, though. ☄️There is normal and hardcore difficulty settings. ☄️There’s also no melee weapons, going into battle with swords would make no sense in the expanse. ☄️The game is estimated around 30 hours long, though it could be more or less depending on how you play. ☄️You can't customize your ship, though it will change over time based on your choices. ☄️You're living in a small space with your crew. Tensions will get high with some, and they’ll argue among themselves. You can charm and romance them. ☄️Devs are excited for us to see the romances, but won't go into more detail. They did say, however, they don't like the mechanical style romances where giving a gift gives +30 to loyality. Expect it feeling more organic. ☄️There will be tough choices, betrayal, some sexual scenes, and gore. The game is fairly mature but not a 18+ rating so far. ☄️It will be released for PC via Steam, GOG, EGS, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in spring 2027. I honestly don't understand this take either. I guarantee you The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is going to generate a lot of noise on its release next year. That's a 30 hour game, with a popular IP and the game looks great. Even if its not everyone's cup of tea to say there was no punch for anything? A curious take indeed.

We have so many choices as consumers. We are inundated with options every single day. The financials are literally falling apart because the industry is flooded on the supply side. We should be glad we have these "partner" shows to advertise a few titles that will likely get passed over anyway. But nope. Can't be happy for five minutes. Can't just move on, or say "eh, it was fine." Make sure you get your bitching and complaining in, because god forbid we just be happy for a day. You sound like a spoiled child who didn't get an ice cream cone, despite being on vacation all day.

Xbox's Partner Preview was AWFUL!

Xbox Partner Preview was pretty good, my only expectation was to show me some cool games I want to play and they delivered 👍 The big stuff for Xbox will be in June

@Multipalzero @VGC_News Xbox wire indicates it is being made by some sc-fi film vets. I definitely see their influence. Doesn't surprise me at all. Companion gameplay mixed with survival mechanics makes me feel like this game will have an opportunity to see some major success.

@Vault93_ @VGC_News I myself was afraid that it was some kind of interactive movie until I read the entry about the game on the Xbox Wire blog. The game looks too brutal to be an indie.

@SynthPotato The story really turns into something completely different then my initial expectations at the beginning. By the end of season 3 going into 4 you just have to sit back and enjoy the ride.

I was getting strong movie vibes from Artificial Detective. The art style at first didn't hit me but the trailer quickly won me over with the cinematic style. I'm interested!
