I do not blame artists for not painting Joseph with a rock in a hat. That would look a lot less inspiring than these pictures. It is still inspiring, and these pictures do show what he was doing to translate the Book of Mormon. But the message would not come across to everyone. I have also always known about the seer stone and hat story. This information was never hidden from me.

Russel M. Nelson 100% lied to the members about the “hat lady” miracle he claimed to be a part of. It cost the church somewhere around a million dollars to cover it up when the lie became known because they had already started publishing the books the story was in. And no, he didn’t repent. Sad.
