A true baseball coach should be able hit fungos and throw batting practice. Some of you out there yelling at players to do things you can’t even do

NEW: NY Giants RB Cam Skattebo says CTE is fake and calls it an “excuse.” “You think CTE is a real thing?” Skattebo: “No. It’s an excuse.” Skattebo also believes asthma is an excuse. “Yeah, just literally breathe air.” 😭

@StocksNBaseball @VelasquezStrong Then once you sign / go to a major D1 school you have significantly more resources to get healthy and develop than you would if you were starting out throwing slower at less impactful schools

@StocksNBaseball @JamesDynstyBase Your limiting this to D1 & getting drafted... limited even more today for college freshmen pitching at that level due to the portal, go pitch where you can pitch, 86-91 can get you innings, maybe the coaching and maturation needed to improve ane maybe one day make this your job

@JamesDynstyBase @StocksNBaseball Pt 2... closer to his genetic ceiling... a place where he can compete and his body can support it... instead of hitting a velo on a gun that his body just isn't get to without breaking down

@StocksNBaseball @VelasquezStrong It’s literally not the definition of an assumption. The dude can sit on his coach for 18 months and still be more highly coveted than a 86 mph healthy arm. I’m not talking about his future or assumptions I’m talking right now.

@JamesDynstyBase @StocksNBaseball Well... 1) he wont be sitting on his coach or couch... he will be going thru arm care 101 and 202 and 303... so that hopefully this doesn't happen again... 2) he will be busting his @$$ strength training and conditioning and be in the best shape of his life... so maybe he can get

@JamesDynstyBase @StocksNBaseball Respectfully disagree... that 86 at 17 may turn into 92 by 21... without missing time meaning the reps are piling up and the wisdom is as well... to go along with your now 92 and ability to pitch... ill take consistency over Intensity all day every day in baseball and in life

@VelasquezStrong @StocksNBaseball You are going to make significantly more money throwing 95 and hurting your elbow at 17 than throwing 86, hitting your spots, and learning at a smaller d1 school

@JamesDynstyBase @StocksNBaseball Which still means nothing when it comes to making a living playing the game... go get your education young'n... and learn how to pitch with what ya got... change speeds and hit your spots... 💪

@StocksNBaseball If you don’t know then just leave it at that. A guy sitting 95 in HS with a shredded elbow is still in the upper echelon of being recruited.

@Pitchingbadger @StocksNBaseball Imo you would see a lot more shoulder issues with weighted balls just due to the stress tha should be transferred there. WB should mean less arm speed so less elbow stress. Also do we know if it’s the plyos or all weighted balls? Why don’t javelin throwers have the same rate?

There are definite gains (2-7%) in velocity in weighted ball programs. However, after analyzing peer-reviewed data from 2020-2024 the risk of physeal (growth plate) injury outweighs the velocity benefits for youth under age 14. Focus should remain on mechanics and general strength for that group. But, high school (16-18) , risks are manageable with strict on-ramping and the gains outweigh the risks at that age.

Neuromuscular control isn’t just a buzzword. Especially as we age. You’ll lose these abilities far more dramatically than strength. And a bunch of videos to help 😎 open.substack.com/pub/howardluks…

@rccycling @hjluks @mcuban Cuban is a man of the people... he can rub elbows with the elite and yet walk with the common folk. And he can lift with some intensity which is perfectly fine at his age. Keep on Keeping on MC

@hjluks @mcuban What we’re wondering is not the form… but why would a billionaire be still using public gyms with equipment everyone is handling? We work with several high profile customers who have with their own private/home gyms… and they are not close to being billionaires… 😂😂😂
