Creativity isn’t owned by biology. It’s owned by intention.

A key difference between generative AI and human creativity is that AI doesn’t experience what it’s creating as it creates it. When we create, we can optimize for what we react positively to. What sounds nice, looks good, reads well - to us. In other words, what we like. But AI optimizes for probability - what’s likely, given what it’s seen before. Human creativity is personal, driven by the creator’s own tastes and personal experience of what they’re creating. Gen AI is a weighted average of its training data. They are not the same.

The output of the tool is whatever the software does after it is prompted. The person did none of that.
Unlike an artist that uses the various tools at their disposal.

@ednewtonrex I hope you are aware of this but AI is just software it does not do anything its not instructed to do.
There just tools, any output is the result of a persons input and direction that input and direction can be creative because a person did it.
