@Rinartts Do you know that in the past and even still today the digital art you make a lot of artists do not also consider art, the paint brush does not have an undo button etc. People back then defended digital art as art from people like you. I wonder if you appreciate that at all.

@FatherPhi @jk_rowling Chatgpt has access to the net it can look up any information it does not have and it appears as if it was trained on it, the harry potter books even in bits are online and can be found and recited from. Try it with a less popular book and see if the same happens.

@FountainCartoon Any artist that dismisses another artists work or title does not deserve the title of artist themselves The funny thing is so many of your fellow artists do not see you as one either because you make nothing more than doodles or childish entertainment which they consider not art

@GenuineComics Everything in your life depends on AI in some way, from the power in your house to the media you consume to this site that you post on. Your mail, your food, your clothing everything needs AI in someway. You may not want AI but you need AI.

@RazorSharpFang @itamiworks I hate to tell you this but all face tracking software rely on AI dataset models that where trained on millions if not hundreds of millions of faces so the software can know what a face is in an image and the parts of the face needed to track. Unlicensed faces btw.

You know what it's funny, VTubers that are heavily against AI using VSeeFace, Vtuber Studio and others. Because they use AI TO TRACK YOU, it's called OpenSeeFace and MediaPipe. If you use Remocapp, guess what, AI baby.

@RMBee @cfryant Better to be altered or improved than forgotten. Do you really think that anyone young nowadays wants to watch only movies in low resolution and at 4:3 ratio? They dont care so over time they will be lost. Stuff like this can bring attention back to these classics.

He didn't though. This is an altered copy. The original is still intact and unchanged. I don't understand this reaction of "you ruined the original!". Does that mean I can just run some agents 24/7, do this to all movies and suddenly all movies are ruined forever? Is it really that easy to ruin anything you enjoy?

SO GROSS. Why would you even do that? How fucking DARE you alter the original, timeless classics, which are a testament to the art of the era in which they're made?

@MartinSLewis @mmhpi If you think on it people who get into difficultly paying their council tax more than likely fall under their local councils support responsibilities. The fact they send demand letters instead of letters seeing if support is needed tells you a lot about the councils.

NEWS! The govt has just announced its changing the Council Tax Debt Collection rules on the back of @mmhpi recommendations. Here's my official quote ----- Council Tax debt collection is so aggressive it’d make banks blush. It’s the most vicious and damaging form of legal debt collection out there - causing counterproductive misery for millions. We’ve spent the last 18 months campaigning hard to change this hideous system, and having seen so much pain caused by it, I’m genuinely moved by this huge first step towards making things better. Currently, in England, if you miss a monthly payment, many councils, within usually 3 weeks, demand payment for the entire year. How people who can’t find a month’s money are expected to find a year’s I don’t know. Yet if they can’t pay, within just three more weeks, they are often taken to court, have ‘admin costs’ added, and soon see bailiffs sent in. No commercial firm would be allowed to do anything close - constituents are treated worse than customers. The new rule from next April means councils must wait two months, not 3 weeks, to ask for a year’s money, and the ‘admin costs’ will be capped at £100. In a perfect world, it would be even longer and the lower cap would apply, but this is still a hugely welcome change to a 33-year-old process. For councils too, it is worth remembering that this grotesque system is often catastrophic for people’s finances and wellbeing, leaving many needing more help and support, and ultimately the same council having to pick up the pieces.

@Glinner Lets be honest few people are going to watch old 4:3 ratio movies and tv series unless is for nostalgia. This can make more people feel more comfortable watching these shows if done correctly and the best thing is the old 4:3 versions are still there for those who want them.

@TheLegalMindset I dont care about this guy what I am worried about is that people where ok with going after him on the streets what will it be like in a Korean prison. If something happens to him in there it will be global news, not good for Korean reputation.

Johnny Somali (Ramsey Khalid Ismael) truly thought he would not spend one day in jail, but just pay a fine and go home. Todays sentence of 6 months in prison with labor, an additional 20 days detention and sex offender status proves him wrong yet again.

@Pirat_Nation The most ironic thing about news organisations been against anyone using their content for training is the fact that their own news content is derived from other peoples sources, they dont usually make things up everything they report on comes from someone else.

23 major news outlets, including The New York Times and USA Today, are now blocking the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine from saving copies of their articles. They are doing this because they do not want AI companies to use the archived pages to train large language models. This surely protects their content from scraping, it also limits public access to historical news records. It makes it harder to track how stories change over time and preserving journalism

@AyakaMods Its been this way for decades the animators are overworked and underpaid and are replaced easily with a new generation of bright eyed animators who think they will become the next big name in the industry, they are lucky to get out with their lives. youtube.com/watch?v=BDEIPa…

🚨 JUST NOW 🚨 - 1: English anime news is running with the headline:
“Umamusume & Sentenced to Be a Hero studio announces insolvency with $3.54M deficit!!” Studio KAI simply published its annual financial disclosure in the official gazette today.
This is their normal yearly report, not a bankruptcy filing. The talented team behind Umamusume Season 2, Sentenced to Be a Hero, and many other quality productions continues to deliver outstanding animation. - 2: What this actually shows is how Japan’s production committee system works. Even when a studio pours its heart into massive hits:
• They receive one flat production fee
• They hold zero IP ownership
• They get zero share of the huge merch, game, BD, or global streaming revenue Umamusume generated billions for the committee.
Studio KAI, like so many respected Japanese studios, operates under this long-standing model. - 3: This is the reality for the hardworking teams that bring your favorite anime to life. Studio KAI has consistently delivered high-quality work since 2019 and is fully backed by its parent company ADK Emotions. So the question for the community:
Is the production committee system still the best way to support these talented studios, or should there be more ways for them to share in the success they help create?

@end3of6days9 In this situation the only laws that applies is the law of physics and law of superior tonnage. It does not matter how reinforced your vehicle is if you get caught under the wheels of one of these rigs you might as well be driving something made out of tin foil.

🚚 This truck driver is explaining to a police officer how another cop pulled in front of his 13,000-pound rig and slammed on the brakes. He calmly tells the officer that the cop had no right to brake-check him like that instead of simply using emergency lights to pull him over. He emphasizes how dangerous the move was, saying if he had rear-ended him it could have been fatal because of the massive weight he's hauling. The officer he’s speaking to says the cop only got in front of him to slow him down to the speed limit and that he’ll have to talk to the judge about it — instead of acknowledging how dangerous the situation was for everyone. The truck driver tells both cops that the videotape from his truck will show everything and that he’ll be forwarding it to the lieutenant and the Post. Was this a bad way to pull over a truck driver — or is there a better reason the cop didn’t just use his lights? I personally can't figure out why the officer thought this was a good idea.

@gingasvr Here is a wildshot idea both the stream frame and quest 3 platforms both use snapdragon cpus I wonder if meta might have be developing a steam frame version of their software so you can run quest games on the frame removing metas liability to supporting quest app and games.

PCVR will still be around after standalone VR collapses… which is already kind of happening until Valve comes out with the Steam frame.. which will probably get delayed until 2027 (or latter) because of all the geopolitical issues going on #vr
