This is one of the stupidest takes I’ve seen in forever

Initial thoughts on my first visit of the season. Great to see the petting zoo back, returning the park to its roots. No new rides, but some work was done to the coasters, and they are riding better than last year Detroit-style pizza is a welcome addition. The Italian sub is back; it was quite good last year. I am going to have the oven-roasted chicken sandwich on my next visit. And the draft beer prices are VERY reasonable.

@YouWillBePwned @TonyClarkCP I wasn't using that as an argument; it is called sarcasm. But believe what you want. I find it hard to believe, given the park's extensive liability for all its rides, that none of the seat belts, new or old, are tested and inspected.

@Veritas217 @TonyClarkCP "Cedar Point had nothing to do with the Morning Rush debacle" Strawman. This has nothing to do with that. Of course the Morning Rush failure was on them. The seatbelts would have fit on the dummies without any issues whatsoever and at that point they were already attached.

Update on Millennium Force: The ride’s manufacturer (Intamin) directly supplies the seat belts to Cedar Point, and it has been identified that they are shorter than the manufacturer’s specifications. We are working with them to replace the belts in the coming weeks.

So what you're saying is the park that instituted the IROC training system to lower their insurance costs, slow operations, and boost fast lane sales. Sorry, I need to use @TonyClarkCP corporate speak. For our safety would not inspect the seat belts before putting them on. And of course, they did zero test runs with water dummies to test the new seat belts and didn't notice that they seemed a little tight. Next, you are going to tell me that Cedar Point had nothing to do with the Morning Rush debacle.

@Veritas217 @TonyClarkCP "there is no way Cedar Point could not have known about this" Do you think Cedar Point measures every seatbelt? They would have had no reason to ever expect the size to be different seeing as they came straight from Intamin.

Cedar Point has only been operating MF for over 25 years. I find it hard to believe they would not notice a difference in the seatbelt length. How much you want to bet we are going to see an announcement on a Friday evening this Summer that the seat belts will not be replaced until 2027. Need to boost those fast lane sales to keep the shareholders happy. After all it is all about them and not the common customer.
