Max is all bark & no bite with his sentiments & statements re: F1 & regs. He’s achieved dominance in F1. Made all the money one could dream of. If he’s genuinely unhappy in F1, making snide remarks or digs, put your money where your mouth is, drive elsewhere. Protest accordingly.

It’s very easy to forget how good F1 drivers are. Yea there are incredible drivers across all the top categories in the world, but F1 is still a cut above all of them on the balance. If Verstappen drove GT3 cars full-time and committed the same time full-time drivers do, he’d dominate. Nobody would touch him. Likewise with the many other drivers in F1 who competed in non-single seater series and found immense success. Alonso already has prestigious titles to his name. Norris was electrifyingly quick in the Daytona 24 hours. Pascal Wehrlein, Esteban Ocon and Paul Di Resta were all DTM champions and Liam Lawson came as a runner-up back in 2021. I also believe Antonelli’s GT outing a few years ago is one of the single most impressive things a current F1 driver has done. He was a monster. If he went down the road he’d decimate everyone and everything.

Do we really have to thank F1 for just existing and giving us horrendous regs since 2014? Max dominated because Red Bull built the car under the regs and backed him. He owes them loyalty, and he’s staying until 2028.

@BoxBoxAndStop @F1JayyUK Whether he wants to be an ambassador for F1 or not, being a champion automatically makes you one. And he wouldn’t be an ambassador for Motorsport if he didn’t enjoy his success in F1.

@SJTM33 No I think he legitimately enjoys driving GT cars in the sim and IRL, enjoys the team element of sharing the car, and I believe he truly wants to help grow it and create pathways for sim racers to follow their dream in motorsport. I don't think he's that cynical

I will go on record and say. I don’t think Max will win the Nurburgring 24H. And I don’t care.
I’ll still watch and enjoy it because I watched the full race even after Max’s stint ended, and I enjoyed it.
Anyway, I am in the middle of Sebring, and I think I’m done with this.

Because he has actually done it. Let more drivers try it. I would love to see that. Many have already said they want to. I know plenty who would do well, like Alonso, Hulkenberg, Norris and Lawson. They would all absolutely deliver.

@Versutta why not? verstappen fans are hypothetically suggesting that he alone is the one who can do what he is doing in another series which is historically false and two the reason why people answer them with hypotheticles
