I bet most of the games with online features will just become subscription based from then on.
Talking about new games that would be like Among Us, Lethal Company, Peak, REPO, Phasmophobia, or those mini games where you are chained together.
To not run the risk of having to pay back all earnings eventually.
It's gonna be the easiest solution to developers - just make it a subscription to avoid all risk.
Or region lock countries with this law.
I don't think there will be many pay once online games from then on.

Unironically, the answer is that you haven't networked. The only way to get a job right now, especially at a masters level, is to know someone who can just give you a job. This is how every job is filled right now and they flood the market with fake jobs to hide the nepotocracy.

@stphnmaher I imagine the British felt this way about the 13 colonies in the 1770’s too. The situation is not so different. They are financially contributing the most but have little political power and their concerns are not taken seriously. It’s going to happen.
