The research is legit: preregistered 2025 RCT in PNAS Nexus (n=467 recruited, 313 analyzed). Crossover design blocked mobile internet 2 weeks via app (iPhone users only). Sustained attention rose significantly on gradCPT task (d_z=0.23 ITT, p<0.001), matching ~10 years reverse age decline. Also improved mental health (d=0.56) and well-being (d=0.45); 91% gained on ≥1 outcome. Limits: motivated sample, low full compliance (26%), short-term, expectancy possible. Solid causal evidence for benefits when followed.

2 weeks without smartphone internet significantly improved sustained attention.
The effects were similar to being a decade younger.

Ave person checks their phone 186x a day. That's an interruption every 5 min. This shrinks the brain, causing lost capacity for deep reasoning and sustained thought. Deep focus strengths neural networks for complex thought.

the fuck do you know about haircuts

When you send money abroad, it should just arrive, without a massive haircut.

a lot of randos think I'm loaded, not sure where this comes from lol
I discovered SOL kind of early, but not that early (it went to ~$40 the day after I found it, and then kept rallying) — I wasn't even in crypto, just random software twitter
then it went to 200s and crashed to ~$8 after FTX
but I was broke almost that entire time lol
I had maybe 4 figures in my bank account (in CAD!) and a ton of student debt, and had to write NFT analytics/sales bots to random Discords to make some extra money
then used some of that to flip NFTs
I bought as much as I could during the $8 crash, but we had just started a startup and were paying ourselves very little (we did not raise much at all, especially compared to raises today)
(I also left Coinbase before my stock vested because I really wanted to start Helius)
since then, have made some good investments and received airdrops etc, but nothing insane
comfortable now and can help out my dad with expenses and everything, but not remotely close to a billionaire
I think as long as you're paying attention, taking some risk, thinking for yourself and not blatantly losing money, then crypto is one of the most insane technologies ever created for climbing out of whatever situation you're in

As of today, $SOFI has returned 252%.
@anthonynoto, thanks for executing so well.

I did some research on $SOFI back in March and now it’s up 30%+, reaching my price target way quicker than expected.

🔍 Valuation of a firm depends on its life cycle stage and purpose 🔍
I always tell my clients: Tell me the reason for valuation, and I’ll provide the right approach.
Here’s a quick look at the 6 stages:
1. Startup
2. Young growth
3. High growth
4. Mature growth
5. Mature stable
6. Decline
Before valuing, determine the stage! For example, in the mature growth stage:
✅ Stable earnings potential
✅ DCF & Relative valuation apply
✅ Key metrics: Revenue, Earnings, Growth rate, FCF
✅ Valuation ratios: P/E, EV/FCF
👉 Preferred method: DCF
👉 Double-check with Comparable Companies (P/E) & Comparable Transactions (EBITDA multiple)
Drop a comment and I’ll send you the file 📥 (Important: Follow me so I can DM you!)

@AlecStapp What a graph! Wow!
As per Kardashev Scale, China is already way ahead of the U.S., as a major civilization.

China is on track to install ~20 times more solar in 2025 than the United States. Yeah.

Apple software in 2025 is garbage.
The first thing I do when I buy a new Apple device is to uninstall all of it: Mail, Maps, Keynote, Pages, …
The CRAZY thing is that Apple’s superpower used to be the vertical integration of hardware and software.
Here’s what Apple needs to do:
1. Acquire OpenAI for $500bn
2. Lay off >30% of people working in Apple’s software division - notably EVERYONE working on Siri
3. Set @sama up to be the next Apple CEO within 3 years
Vertical integration of hardware and AI should be Apple’s superpower. But that requires visionary product leadership.
On their current path, they’ll end up like IBM within 5 years.

@ASvanevik Fair point; but the ascent of $BTC to a trillion-dollar institutional-level asset class should not be understated.
When it comes to stablecoins — it’s a creative way to generate extra demand for U.S. Treasuries + 24/7 bankless transactions; increased US dollar adoption.
