In the official Democratic response to the President’s State of the Union address last night, Virginia's governor said she wanted Americans to ask themselves three questions: 1-Is the president working to make life more affordable for you and your family? 2-Is the president working to keep Americans safe, both at home and abroad? 3-Is the president working for you? I am thankful to say that the answer to all these questions is a resounding, absolutely 100%, YES.

What a great State of the Union address from President Trump last night! Among the many highlights, one moment stood out in particular. President Trump declared, "I'm very proud to say that during my time in office, both the first four years and, in particular, this last year, there has been a tremendous renewal in religion, faith, Christianity and belief in God" — and noted that this was "especially true among young people." That is true. This president has consistently spoken up for religious liberty and the right of all people to freely practice their faith. As Christians, we are grateful for that — and encouraged by what we are witnessing across this country. God Bless America!

@FrankLuntz I'm mixed on this one but lean toward the Dems who chose to make a statement by not attending.

Empty seats send a message… But not always the one you intend. When Democrats boycott the #SOTU, they're not protesting Trump. They're telling millions of Americans at home that they'd rather make a point than do their job.

For context: Scott Jennings has been trying to beat @AndyBeshearKY for a decade. And he's lost every time. Republicans ran $10M in ads attacking Andy for this veto. Andy responded exactly like he did yesterday. And then won by 5 points in a state Trump won by 30 points.

Labeling people “narco-terrorists” without proof just to justify killing them is not the law. It’s lunacy. This policy risks dragging America into another foreign war. We need transparency, oversight, and respect for the Constitution.
