Greenwich Council Leader Anthony Okereke forced through his changes to limit Qs & scrutiny last night, in one of the longest council meetings in history. 28 Labour councillors voted FOR. All 8 Conservative, Green, Ind councillors voted AGAINST. A dark day for our local democracy

Its brilliant the station is reopening ahead of schedule, with new escilators, new lift, and a wider station refurb as well. Myself @aidanmasmith @MrOkereke & others met with DLR + TfL over number of years to ensure this came about, & Monday will be a landmark day for Greenwich

I totally disagree with the conclusions here. It really is high time to demonise smart phones and screens. Or more children will go to school in nappies, unable to speak, and sit up properly. Parents need to be warned, and to lock away their own devices. theguardian.com/society/2026/m…
