We operate three Ayurveda medical retreats — a 100 year old institution in Kerala.  Sitaram Beach Retreat, Thrissur. Sitaram Mountain Retreat, Munnar. SitaramX Postcard Ayurveda, Old Goa. Our European medical patients fly from Zurich, Geneva, Munich, Frankfurt, Vienna and London specifically for Ayurvedic treatment. Most book over a year in advance. Several have treatment costs partially covered by European health insurance.  During the Iran war — multiple confirmed European bookings cancelled. Not because India was unsafe. Because Gulf airspace uncertainty made connections unpredictable.  The real problem is this. Flights exist daily from Europe to Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. Long haul is not the issue. The Mumbai or Delhi to Kochi connection is. 5-9 hour transit. Separate terminal. Full baggage recheck. Overnight wait. Emirates, Qatar, Oman Airways — under 2 hours. World class lounge if flying business class. Bags through. One booking. A genuinely comfortable transit experience. Our patients choose Gulf carriers not because direct flight to india is a bad but because the Mumbai and Delhi transit drives them away once they experience a Gulf airport transit. Through ticketing to Kochi or Trivandrum exists on paper — but nobody choosing between a 6-8 hour midnight transit in Mumbai with full baggage recheck and a 90 minute layover in Dubai is choosing Mumbai.  @airindia @IndiGo6E @lufthansa — coordinated scheduling and lounge access for connecting European passengers is all it takes.Kerala's medical value tourism — driven by Ayurveda — brings genuine foreign exchange to India. When you drink coffee immediately after waking, your cortisol hasn’t finished rising. Caffeine blocks this process, leaving you dependent and drained later. Wait at least 60 minutes after waking before your first cup, and avoid it after 3 p.m. for deep, restorative sleep.

I'm not a relationship expert but the one thing i've observed after working with so many patients over 14 years is that the some of worst relationships one can be in is a relationship where one has to live in fear, walk around on egg shells, fear to express, fear to be their authentic self ... fear robs safety and a feeling of safety is the greatest health and joy.
