Quarterhorse Mk 2.1 is now the world’s first privately developed, unmanned supersonic jet and the fastest unmanned aircraft flying today.
This flight makes Hermeus the fastest company in aviation history to go from founding to supersonic flight - exactly 364 days after the maiden flight of our first aircraft.

After seeing these tweets, I decided to try it out on my own old Ubuntu computer with RTX 1070 GPU (the one that I just upgraded from 16.04 all the way to 24.04 the other day). Asked Codex on my Mac to connect to that machine and install and test qwen3 8b. So far really impressive - running 30 tok/s!

ok this is wild. 10 year old gtx 1080 8gb pascal card running qwen3 8b locally at 18-20 tok/s via hermes agent and it's actually doing the thing. asked it to build a wireworld cellular automata simulator with 10 tests. autonomous run, no hand holding. expected it to fail on the tool calls. that's not what happened. write_file works. browser_navigate works. terminal commands work. file ops, package installs, version probes, environment setup. agent is firing tool calls cleanly and the model is reasoning about next steps at 18-20 tok/s. on hardware that pre dates "agentic" as a word. it even hit an npm install fail because node 12 is too old. didn't crash. didn't ask me. just started bootstrapping nvm on its own to fix the environment. 10 minutes in. 40% context used. 7.5gb of 8gb vram occupied. still going. i did not think this would work on this hardware. this is the most i've been wrong this month.

@Nivi_Chandru So enjoy the time when the kids are in the age between 8 and 18 and this will be the longest time ever you will be with the kids .. then they fly away .. you won't realize it now but when that 10 years flies so fast many won't even realize .. 😭

Humbled to share that we successfully test fired 4 semi-cryogenic rocket engines simultaneously, as a cluster.
All the 4 engines are 3d printed as single pieces of hardware - designed and manufactured in-house at AgniKul Cosmos Rocket Factory - 1. As with all our propulsion systems, these 4 engines are also powered by electric motor driven pumps.
This test involved calibrating 8 pumps, 8 motors and tuning 8 speed control algorithms to work together in perfect sync to achieve uniform startup, steady state and shutdown performance across the entire system. As with the last cluster test, to the best of our knowledge, this is the first time such a test has been performed in India with semi cryogenic engines.
We are extremely grateful to have the opportunity to be building world class, original space technology from India, for the world with the support of @iitmadras @isro and @INSPACeIND

We've received about 130,000lbs of powder metal "Boomalloy" billet, to be forged into turbine discs. This is enough metal for ~1.3GW of turbines.
This stuff normally takes over a year to procure—but we partnered deeply with our supplier and got it in weeks.

One of the key demands raised by many IIT Incubation/Accelerator Heads (IIT Jodhpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Roorkee, and others) at the recent @paniitindia Bangalore Summit — and one that deserves serious attention from @EduMinOfIndia — 𝗶𝘀 𝘂𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀.
If I benchmark against global counterparts (University of Wisconsin–Madison, Carnegie Mellon University, Georgia Tech, and others):
1. IIT Incubation Centers must move beyond merely incubating projects and short-term startups to nurturing high-quality, long-term sustainable ventures. Success should be measured by the emergence of enduring deep-tech companies (e.g., 𝗔𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗰) — not just the volume of startups incubated.
2. These centers are too often treated like NGOs. They need adequate funding and structural incentives to function as full-fledged Technology Commercialization Centers. Recently, I met my good friend Dr. Raghupathy Sivakumar, Vice President of Technology Commercialization at Georgia Tech, in Atlanta, and their approach is structurally long-term and an 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗮 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵’𝘀 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀.
