We immediately got to work. Within 24 hrs we also requested @0xFantasy to help too! The attacker was a rogue dev named 'MegaMan' who had worked with Gosu for a while. Full Report available at: Telegram: t.me/AnalysisOnChain Discord: discord.gg/VJYqVG45W5 ⚠️TLDR⚠️ - The rogue dev (MegaMan) worked with Gosu, having received payment as early as last June. - MegaMan switched the back-end contract on the front end User Interface on the website, when they knew Gosu would connect his wallet - Gosu approved unlimited BUSD for an attack contract - The attack contract was used to drain Gosu's wallet - The funds went straight into TC - 2.5 days later, the funds came out, we woke up Gosu who immediately called his local authorities and then reached to the #FBI at the help of @ObsidianCouncil. - The funds then went out through to Binance 😈🕵️ - The attacker IP address was cracked, even though they used a VPN - The case is now with the authorities. - The authorities know exactly who did this. Through Gosu’s industry connections was able to reach very high-ranking members of #Binance and immediately helped to identify the culprit. More information will be public as Gosu is working with the authorities. 43% of the funds were Gosu’s personal finances. So he’s a victim as much as his community members. There is some noise about Gosu being under investigation himself - Take this from me, that he is not. This is Chinese whispers at best. He is in contact with them about this case. This new interview by Powell is interesting. It suggests that the purpose of the insurrection was to DELAY the electoral college certification to give Alito time to intervene on this legal challenge. But, Powell says they didn’t anticipate Pelosi reconvening Congress that day.
