The day ended the way it began. Nothing planned by me. Everything carried by Him. I woke with a Shepherd at the threshold, guarding an open door, and I end the day still standing at that same threshold—more tired, more amazed, more aware, and somehow more at peace. Today was long. Bent. Heavy. Strange. Holy. But somewhere in the middle of it, what was bent got straightened again. I hurt, but it is not an empty hurt. It is the kind of hurt that comes from carrying something sacred too long to explain it easily. So I will keep carrying the cross. I will keep plowing through the middle of it all like a running back with the ball tucked tight, eyes forward, shoulders lowered, protecting what was handed to me. I may look like Moses now. White hair. Tired hands. Long road behind me. But I can still block. I can still carry. I can still protect. And if God keeps opening the door, I will keep standing at the threshold with discernment, gratitude, and faith. The Shepherd was there this morning. The Shepherd is still there tonight. And that is enough. 🙏

Pray a prayer for this family: I can’t believe I have not heard this on the news, I just saw it on X and was absolutely stunned. Tonight I know exactly who I need to pray for. Athena Strand’s family. I cannot imagine losing a child. Losing two brothers almost broke me. I cannot imagine what her parents, grandparents, siblings, and family are carrying. And as for Tanner Horner’s appeal? An appeal may be part of the legal process, but no appeal can erase what happened. No appeal can erase the recording. No appeal can erase the evidence. No appeal can erase a 7-year-old little girl who should have been safe at home. Justice must be lawful, but justice must also be honest. Jesus Christ did not speak softly about those who harm children. “Whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” - Matthew 18:6 That is not just a warning. That is a promise. And tonight, my prayer is not for revenge. My prayer is for Athena’s family. Lord, cover them under Your wings. “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust.” - Psalm 91:4 Give Your angels charge over them. “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” - Psalm 91:11 Be their refuge when grief becomes unbearable. “I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” - Psalm 91:2 And send the Comforter Jesus Christ promised. “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.” - John 14:16 Lord, be near to this family. Hold them when the courtroom is quiet. Hold them when the cameras leave. Hold them when the anger fades and the grief remains. Let Athena’s name be remembered with love, innocence, light, and beauty. And let every person who sees this story remember: Children are sacred. Children must be protected. And Matthew 18:6 still stands. 🙏

BREAKING: FedEx driver who pleaded guilty to kidnapping and murdering 7-year-old Athena Strand, has been sentenced to death. Tanner Horner snatched Athena while he was delivering a Barbie doll to her home in Paradise, Texas. At one point during the trial, jurors broke down in tears while hearing audio of Horner killing Athena after he told her to take off her shirt and said she was "really pretty." Athena repeatedly asked for her mother before she was killed. "Horner is then heard asking Athena to remove her shirt, and there are several moments when she says "no" and asks for her mom. That was followed by repeated sounds of crying, screaming and banging," NBC reported last month. Following three hours of deliberation today, Horner was sentenced to death by lethal injection.

@WatchChad I woke up at 4am from a dream with these words in my spirit: God will protect the misfits. Then I saw a German Shepherd lying calmly across the threshold of a white doorway, keeping it open, as if no one could shut what God had opened. That stayed with me.

Jacksonville police officer Antonio Richardson prays for a young man who was standing on the edge of a bridge, ready to take his own life. Richardson conversed with and prayed for the man for 40 minutes. "When I got the call … I was just there to stop the traffic. And then a couple of other officers who knew my position as a pastor asked me to come over and talk with the guy," Richardson told Fox News. "I just felt within myself that God was going to spare his life, and he did." "I was praying. And God spared his life. And we connected. And as a result of that connection, he didn’t jump." Praise God.
