This morning was a wake up call at Bank Junction in the City of London for those #cycling who ride through red lights or ride an electric motorbike. Shout out to @CityPolice for organising the bike marking and the truck to highlight how dangerous the blind spots are.

@ArtistCyclist so he would have to stop to allow your majesty to pass, stop moaning if he was doing the leagl speed limit, he was driving within the law. looking at the picture, you are riding in the middle of the road, meaning you are in the wrong, if only you moved to the left???

I was riding in Primary on a narrow lane, it was raining heavily, the road surface was very wet and muddy, the speed limit is 30mph. This car was doing at least 30mph, bouncing on the road, and didn't slow down at the passing point but just continued towards me at the same speed.

Hi @ContactHaringey. What's going on with car access to Markfield Park to and from Markfield Rd? It's not supposed to be open to cars to encourage parents to drop off their kids is it? Doesn't seem very safe to me. Especially with cars this size! @HaleTottenham @IbrahimAli1_

As London warms up, keep an eye out for tourists, as they don't always look the right way. I did flag down passing police, as wherever there's a head knock, it's a 999.

@but_cyclists The cyclist was aiming for the pedestrian; he had enough time to avoid it, but he decided to aim and hit the pedestrian. The phone, showing the camera view, is a distraction and should be treated the same as a driver and be fined with points on their license if he has one

@therealmissjo instead of looking at this as bad behaviour, have you asked why teenagers behave this way? as far as I remember we all done something when we were young, the issue here is you have school holdiays and lots of kids full of energy and no where to go. to have fun

People are barricaded in shops. Others are unable to get down the street. Why? Because this is the “Clapham youth” in London. They have stormed the high street and are looting shops. Does not seem like anyone is being arrested yet. Instead police stand and watch. You can guarantee that if they were a large group of white kids they would be arrested in minutes. This is not the first time they have done this in the last few days. Their behaviour is feral.

@MikeyCycling have you asked that question when you're riding on the pavement, passing red lights, being a complete nop head. Leave the Cars Alone, if you don't like the cars, do go on the road

@ThinkLicence There was a time when roads in the Uk worked This was when all roads were open, normal parking and charges were available, normal curbs no bumps, but as the number of cars increased, the lycra department reduced the amount of roads availlable pushing everyone to main roads.

I'm fine with bad cycling being policed, but I can't report them and I can't stop them as I'm just an ordinary nobody with no powers. I'd laugh and video if cyclists were caught, but it's not the safety win you think it is. Were you to wave a magic wand and instantly make all cyclists behave perfectly, road KSI stats wouldn't change noticeably. Do the same for drivers instead, and you'll stop almost all traffic deaths and injuries. It's drivers killing 1,800 people and severely injuring and maiming 27,000 more a year, not cyclists. Do you see why I don't bother with cyclists now? Traffic lights are car infrastructure btw, they aren't needed if you mix only pedestrians and cyclists.

AAAAAHAAAAHAAAAAHAAAAhaaahaaaahahaa! This driver turned across my path and thought he did nothing wrong. Gave me a huge argument about it. The Met Police disagreed, and it turns out he paid for a driver awareness course.

Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre, W5 The fact that this driver got a parking ticket for parking on the pavement, is little consolation to pedestrians that have to squeeze past. If you look carefully at the bodywork though, I vented my displeasure with my right foot. 😂 If only...

HWC Rule 178: Allow cyclists, including any moving or waiting alongside you, enough time and space to move off when the green signal shows. HWC Rule 163: leave cyclists at least 1.5m when overtaking. HWC Rules H1–H3: drivers must protect vulnerable road users. This kind of overtake can be Careless Driving under the Road Traffic Act 1988. Police treat close passes as careless/dangerous overtakes. Let cyclists clear the junction. It’s the law - and basic decency.
