In 2015, a 17-year-old girl went to Nightingale Diagnostic Centre in Kolkata for a routine vascular procedure on her right leg. During the surgery, surgical glue slipped into her main leg artery. Blood flow stopped. Gangrene developed. She was rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi in critical condition. Her right leg was amputated. She was 17 years old. 90% permanent disability. Certified for life. The hospital's defence: high-risk surgery, patient was informed. The court found: no proper risk assessment was done. No specific questions asked about her medical history. Consent was taken in a form so vague it meant nothing. In plain language — they operated on a teenager without adequately preparing for what could go wrong. And everything went wrong. Her father filed a complaint in 2017. Fought for 8 years. 2025 — NCDRC ruled. Hospital and surgeon ordered to pay ₹75 lakh compensation. A 17-year-old lost her leg. A court gave her father 8 years of fight and ₹75 lakh. Save this post. Before any surgery — ask your doctor in writing: what are the specific risks for MY case? What preparations have been made if something goes wrong? You are entitled to a real answer.

Migration from 2 states #ClimateChange creates #Migration . Look into effects of Climate change on crops, agriculture that makes people migrate from one place to another.
