It may sound weird but College Gameday has been such an important part of my life … for what feels like my entire life. It’s the soundtrack to my Saturday mornings … and the kickoff to my fall weekends for as long as I can remember. I’m a Lee Corso fan … my wife became a Lee Corso fan … he’s the rare person in life who’s TRULY beloved. Powerful stuff here.

In a bit over a week I’ll be back in Ireland. Sadly, no golf this time. To make myself feel better, I dug up a picture and some video from 2019, my last visit to Ireland where I got to play Royal Portrush the year of the last Open Championship there. Truly spectacular!

@ScottSzabo Sidewinder and Dinosuar Mountain may be the best bargain in Arizona.

In Scottsdale this week. Played Rancho Manana today. Not impressed. Not a bad place, but not worth $230 a round. Got Desert Canyon, SunRidge Canyon and Eagle Mountain next. Hopefully the next few days will be better.

There it is. Confirmation of a “golf tax” enacted in Illinois. I had heard whispers about it but now the CDGA has confirmed it. While I doubt it specifically was targeting golf, it definitely hits home. Cart rentals, club rentals, range balls, etc.

@gunsngolf @Rehbein14 How’s Sandy Pines in northern IN? Have thought about trying that out as it’s only about 1.5 from me.

Public and Noblesville is just north of Indianapolis. There are a LOT of great courses in that area. LIV will be there in the summer at The Club at Chatham Hills (private) in nearby Westfield. If you’re headed to Indiana and want course suggestions, let me know. I’ve played a lot of golf in Indiana (particularly the northern half).
