@Unholy_Malphas I wanted to like it but it’s actually kind of devoid. Although I only played the early access / demo, so maybe it’s more engaging now. Moreover, after a while the aesthetic was a little grating.

@roger_creus_art They’re right, but this unearthes a problem with the role: a good manager should foster morale for their workers, heed professional insight, and aim products for target audiences.
I have seen miserable indie devs make the same mistakes when marketing, or on PR for fans.

@CoachDanGo I got to stop scrolling. I hope you are at least getting paid to worry about a random person’s body fat.
English

@noorrietje You actually just have to accept that everything is wrong and be fine with that. Depression cannot survive when you are content. Don’t look for cures elsewhere, they create disappointment and despair if they don’t work for you.

@kirawontmiss The way batman pulls up off screen is what makes this hilarious.

Crazy that there isn’t a single game with that early Bryce3D / Vue d’esprit aesthetics. We can easily do this in real time today.

Scenes I rendered using Bryce3D back in 1999

@LinkofSunshine I empathize, but it is a site for hosting code. It’s also content produced by a lot of individuals, and not always some business with a production pipeline. It’s like going to your tech friend’s house for a software tool he made.

@RinoTheBouncer Mario Kart 8.
I was at Walmart and saw it on display. I grabbed a chair from the furniture section, sat in the game isle and played for like 20 minutes. I was still young with no job so I began doing odd ball tasks to save up the money which took me months.

@epyoncf @kantallive So the point remains with an added caveat: design for the target audience.
English

@kantallive What passable graphics are varies highly by genre though. You will have different base expectations in an online FPS shooter and a traditional roguelikes game
English

Graphics matter to about 90% of players. They will judge your game within the first 5 seconds. If it doesn’t look good, you risk losing traction, sales, and valuable time.

Hit me with the harshest reality about game dev

Was not satisfied with the previous model and revise him to look more like the original concept art. #ROASTBUG

English

#ROASTBUG is a game where actions, like jumping, dashing, and mystic powers are limited by Action Points (AP), and only occur when the button is released. Holding the button allows you to charge or cancel the action.
