This week, GPC Director Klein and Deputy Director Vogelstein joined @SecDebHaaland and @ActSecJulieSu at the Dept. of Labor where @POTUS signed a proclamation establishing the Frances Perkins National Monument.

Yesterday, President Biden signed a proclamation establishing the Frances Perkins National Monument in Newcastle, Maine, to honor the legacy of America’s first woman Cabinet Secretary and the longest-serving Secretary of Labor.

There’s never been a more comprehensive government effort to spur innovation in women’s health research. The White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research has laid the groundwork for generations to come. And the women and allies who joined us today are leading the way.

Joe and I were honored to host the first-ever White House Conference on Women’s Health Research. For decades, women have been searching for answers about our health. Today, we are making a promise that we will keep fighting until worries turn into answers and symptoms into solutions.

Our Administration is expanding registered apprenticeships – helping connect Americans like Maurice to good-paying jobs with good hours, good benefits, and a sense of dignity.

Since day one, the Biden-Harris Administration has fought to defend and expand access to affordable, high-quality contraception—an essential component of reproductive health care that has only become more important since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.

Unemployment hasn’t been this low for this long in over 50 years.

Today’s report confirms how far we’ve come since I took office, from the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression to the strongest economy in the world. On my watch, the economy has grown 12.6%, and we've had the lowest average unemployment in 50 years.

And on Tuesday, GPC Director Klein joined senior leaders @HHS @ACFHHS to discuss the importance of the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act in supporting survivors of domestic violence.

Each October, we recognize Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Month and reflect on the progress we have made in addressing domestic violence as well as the work ahead to prevent and end gender-based violence once and for all.

At yesterday’s UN event marking 15 years of the mandate on sexual violence in conflict, Deputy Director Vogelstein highlighted the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to promote accountability for CRSV, including through the Dignity in Documentation Initiative.

This #DVAM, GPC convened federal agencies to discuss how the Biden-Harris Administration is supporting survivors under the U.S. National Plan to End Gender-Based Violence, including resources for survivors affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. 💜

Tonight, in recognition of National Mammography Day and Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the White House will be illuminated pink to encourage everyone to check with their doctor about whether it’s time for a mammogram or other cancer screenings.

#LatinaEqualPayDay marks how far into a year Latinas must work, on average, to earn what their white male counterparts did last year.  The Biden-Harris Administration remains committed advancing pay equity and to building an economy that works for all.
