Tonight, Gov. Evers blamed the Republican legislature for problems he and his administration have caused. Families can barely afford basic necessities as they feel the weight of his 400-year property tax increase. Our $2.4 billion surplus should be returned to the taxpayers.

For those who haven't heard, @WisconsinEye is back up for the month of February as the Assembly Committee on State Affairs hears legislation today on establishing an endowment to continue the network's continued operation. Forward!

Today, Republicans authored and passed Assembly Bill 840 to regulate data centers coming to Wisconsin by ensuring they are held accountable while simultaneously protecting consumers. It’s important we approach data centers responsibly to protect affordability for taxpayers.

Today, the State Assembly voted to exempt cash tips from income tax! Starting in tax year 2025, up to $25,000 of income received from cash tips is exempt from taxation. This is another step toward helping Wisconsinites keep more of their hard-earned money!

Wisconsin taxpayers shouldn’t fund salaries for judges suspended over criminal misconduct—plus the cost of a reserve judge. Proud to support AB 380 today to suspend pay for judges suspended for misconduct.

Yesterday, the Assembly overwhelmingly passed a Republican bill to clearly define and criminalize the grooming of a child with sexual intent. This legislation will provide the legal tools to prosecute these predators to the fullest extent of the law. jsonline.com/story/news/pol…

Today, we pause to remember the 2,403 Americans who lost their lives in the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. This solemn anniversary serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made to protect our nation and the enduring strength and resilience of the American people.

Just wrapped up today's Assembly floor session a little while ago. We passed legislation to create and fund a new state matching grant program to aid homeless veterans. We also took up several bills related to education. Watch my video update from the floor below to learn more.

Republicans are proud to pass a package of bills that streamline our elections process, such as boosting access to early in-person voting across the state. Addressing the disparities some rural voters face is important to ensuring all citizens are able to vote in person.
