I’m gona start moving with some cash purposely to give to the few kind people we still have in Uganda. Today a traffic guy stopped me and asked me what happened to my missing number plate and I told him it dropped. He told me it’s ok and asked me to go without asking for my grandmas national ID. Brethren I was almost tempted to 1st step out of the car and give him a hug but i feared ☺️😪

While inspecting progress on the Namungoona–Bwaise section of the Northern Bypass this afternoon , the Minister of Works & Transport, Hon. Fred Byamukama, directed the contractor to accelerate the remaining works and ensure the section is completed by Monday next week. HEALTH, GENDER AND ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS WEEK,2026: The Finance Ministry is conducting the Health, Gender and Environment Awareness this week (6th to 10th July, 2026) under the theme “Healthy workforce for Effective Service Delivery.” The annual Health, Gender and Environment Awareness Week gives opportunity to @mofpedU staff to access a number of health and other services at the Ministry premises in addition to receiving lectures on health wellness by the experts. Throughout this week, our staff are participating in a wide range of health and wellness activities including; blood donation, cancer screening, HIV counselling and testing, blood pressure checkups, diabetes checkup, dental and eye examinations as well as health education and wellness counselling. These services are intended to encourage early detection and prevention of diseases while promoting healthy lifestyles among employees. The Executive Director Mulago National Referral Hospital, Dr.Byanyima Rosemary made a presentation to the top technical team about the services offered by the hospital and called upon public officers to utilize the services available. She said Mulago has 1,700 bed capacity ( 950 beds in lower Mulago and 750 beds in upper Mulago). She said some of the services Ugandans had to seek abroad at very high costs are now available at Mulago including; kidney transplants,total knee replacement & reconstructive plastic surgery. It should be noted that effective service delivery hinges on a healthy workforce and therefore investing in employee health safety and wellbeing improves productivity, reduces absenteeism and enhances the quality of services delivered to the public. The week's events also feature exhibitions by Financial Institutions, Insurance Companies, Energy saving solution providers among other services that contribute to improved household welfare and sustainable living. The Health, Gender and Environment Awareness Week demonstrates @mofpedU commitment to building a healthier, more productive and resilient workforce capable of delivering efficient public services while advancing Uganda’s national development agenda. #HealthIsWealth #ProductiveWorkforce #TenfoldGrowth #DoingMore
