@Mike_Jagacki Another fair question... Is the team capable of duplicating that result? 20 3s in a game is an incredible shooting performance that would break the state of AZ record for 3s made in a HS game.
English

A team makes 10 threes in the first half.
At halftime, the conversation immediately becomes:
"We need to run them off the line."
That might be the right adjustment.
But it's worth asking another question first:
Where are those threes coming from?
The same outcome can be produced by very different processes.
A point guard collapsing the defense.
A post-up generating kickouts.
A screening action creating confusion.
A transition defense issue.
From a distance, the outcomes are all the same. Made 3, after made 3.
Break them down however, and they require very different solutions.
That's one reason in-game adjustments are so difficult.
The outcomes are obvious. The causes are often more subtle.
And coaches spend most of the game looking at outcomes.
Points.
Rebounds.
Turnovers.
Three-pointers.
The challenge is tracing those outcomes back to the few processes that are actually driving them.
Many adjustments become much clearer once the real source of the problem is identified.
The made shot is often the last link in the chain.
The coaching challenge is figuring out where the chain began.
Outcomes tell you what happened.
Processes tell you what to do next.

WOW. What a first day of Section 7.
The stars were shining, college coaches packed the sidelines, and the energy throughout the gym was incredible. No matter which court you walked to, there was talent, competition, and high-level basketball everywhere.
Arizona is the center of the basketball world this weekend. The biggest stage of the summer is here, and Day 1 delivered.
