'super-clipping'
'downshifting on straights'
'battery management' 🥱
Yeah, we don't do that here. We race.

It’s important that you understand what happened last night.
Last night, Stephen Colbert interviewed Democratic Texas Senate candidate James Talarico, a candidate who, by all accounts, is on track in the polls to flip Texas blue.
In response, Trump’s FCC reportedly threatened CBS if the interview aired.
CBS caved and pulled the segment, citing “financial reasons.”
In modern American history, no president has been more hostile to free speech than Donald Trump.
But censorship always backfires.
Here’s the full segment Trump didn’t want you to see.

NEWS: CBS blocked Stephen Colbert from airing an interview with Texas State Rep. James Talarico and ordered him not to mention the cancellation over fear of FCC chair Brendan Carr.
Colbert went on air and revealed it anyway.
“He was supposed to be here, but we were told in no uncertain terms by our network’s lawyers, who called us directly, that we could not have him on the broadcast,” Colbert said.

The Adams Administration stopped the Streets Master Plan. We’re bringing it back.
We’re kicking off four bold NYC street projects: faster buses on the Bronx’s busiest route, a continuous protected bike route all the way from Sunset Park to DUMBO, protected bike lanes around 10 schools in Central Brooklyn, and a connected bike network for Midwood, Flatbush, and East Flatbush. Streets that work for everyone—not just cars.

I think it's wholly fair to have all 3 thoughts concurrently:
-Racing in the nation's capital to celebrate the country's 250th is very cool.
-Doing so with the full-throated backing & support of a lightning rod administration is a tenuous decision to make.
-Attempting to pull off a free street race with 6 months to plan and a yet-to-be announced track in the nation's capital is an insane task to try and pull off safely, successfully & effectively for a sport that has had a lot of setbacks/delays in recent years.
