@WadingPatiently Nah this isn't a man thing. This is a human thing. I'd be crushed if I was dating someone for months and they told me that all those happy memories of our first dates, they were being railed by someone else and not telling me.

The new culture norm of everyone being romantically noncommittal, indecisive, and selfish until they explicitly state otherwise is so degrading. No wonder people find dating unpleasant. Exclusivity should be the default, with the burden of communication on the person who is actively fostering misunderstanding by acting interested in another person, but not interested enough, in reality, to stop seeing other people. When I wanted exclusively casual arrangements after being widowed, I was upfront about it. Yes, it was uncomfortable for me, but I know full well that it was my duty under the principles of basic human decency to make it clear to the other person that this was just a lark, if they chose to fantasize about a happily ever after, that would be delusional. Dodging that responsibility to communicate clearly with people I was spending time with while affectionately naked, in mutual vulnerability, is psychopathic. I don't know how being nonconfrontational cowards became the norm, but it does a lot to explain the falling rate of marriage among the lower classes.

Last tweet of the night, I promise! This person doesn't understand how binge eating disorder works. Highly palatable foods are the most likely go-to, but it's not the food that causes the binge. This is the part people need to wrap their heads around. A binger will absolutely binge on something healthy and use it as a justification for their binge, (i.e. "It's okay if I eat a lot of this, it's healthy!"). The binge is the behavior. The food is the method to satisfy the behavior.

@marsthesublime There’s something missing here because my two boys, even from a toddler age would refuse to get into the shower if it wasn’t warm enough. My 7 year old can turn on the shower himself & wait for it to warm up. How was this dude raised if he didn’t know you can wait for warm water?
