As the #Massachusetts Senate gets into budget week on Beacon Hill, I asked Senate President Karen Spilka if the Legislature dwindling amount of local state aid, which has forced cities and towns into property tax hikes or Proposition 2 1/2 override votes. Spilka instead blames federal funding cuts by the #Trump administration. I also asked her if the Legislature is spending too much on pet projects and the state’s costly climate mandate. She says that was too general of a question to answer.

In 11 seasons of The X Files, it had vampires, werewolves, lizard people,lake monsters and every kind of monster imaginable but it never had an episode on Bigfoot !! Probably the most iconic cryptid of all time.
The closest we got was The Jersey Devil. Missed opportunity tbh.

This is such a perfect example of the left-right dynamic.
New England (everything east and north of New York) already has zero GOP representation. They already nuked the ground.
The GOP in the South is going to severely reduce Dem representation. But this isn't the "opening salvo". It is a response to an already partisan situation. The Dems went first. They are angry that the GOP can also play that game, so they threaten consequences that can't come to pass because they already did their worst.
