The High Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Faisal @DrMFaisal met a delegation from the Wanstead and Snaresbrook cricket club @Wansteadcc, which is based in East #London and plays in the Essex Premier League, to discuss their upcoming tour to #Pakistan. The delegation included Mr. Len Enoch (President), Mr. Arfan Akram Club (Captain) and tour organisers Mr. Adnan Akram and Mr. Farooq Usman. The Wanstead and Snaresbrook cricket team will be visiting multiple cities including Lahore, Sialkot, Jehlum, Islamabad, Gilgit and Skardu. They will also be visiting historical sights in these cities. The tour is a part of the High Commission’s @PakistaninUK efforts to promote cricket and cultural diplomacy between Pakistan and the UK. While regretting the recent incident in which a country politicized an international cricket match in Dubai, the High Commissioner said that “the true spirit of sports should be kept alive and politics should be kept separate from sports.
