Unfortunately, only Elon Musk can get away with responses like that. In a normal trial, most witnesses would be repeatedly admonished or even held in contempt for refusing to give simple yes/no answers and for pushing back against the lawyer. Judges generally don’t allow witnesses to reframe questions or lecture opposing counsel. Musk’s performance was bold and entertaining, but it was only possible because of who he is.
