@108_Performance His load is a lot cleaner. Hands are not so tight and wrapped behind him. Hands are closer to where he fires from

A rebuttal to “DINK” (dual income, no kids) lifestyle that seems to be catching on: You are correct. Having no kids to care for is “easier.” No question. I don’t have many bottomless mimosas brunch dates with these days. But, it’s easier in the way sitting on the couch eating ice cream is easier than going to the gym. It feels easy in the moment, because it is… but 20 years later when you’re 50 pounds overweight, things get hard. Few have ever said a grueling workout is “fun.” It’s not. It sucks. But how you feel AFTER you’ve achieved is what makes it worth it. That’s being a parent. Sure, there will be epic tantrums and you will sacrifice much of your instant gratification for their happiness. You’ll feel depleted, like you’ve got nothing left, when suddenly your child will look at you and say something like: “I’m so lucky God gave me a daddy like you.” Your battery suddenly recharges to 100% - it keeps you going. And in those moments—the good ones—you’ll realize that there is more happiness and contentment to be found in THEIR joy than you ever found in your own. This is a wild realization — and an important one. And you’ll be willing to give up even more of what you “want” to see that joy shine through them again. It’s also a significant part of your legacy that when you die, you’ve left God-fearing, people-loving human beings behind who are capable of making the world a little brighter. This is PURPOSE. It’s why God created the family. I’m just trying to point out that doing the thing that is “easier” is hardly ever the thing that is best for you in the long term. Maybe in the short term, living for only yourself feels worth it. But when you’re 60 years old and you’ve finally figured out what actually matters in life… you’re going to want grandchildren running around while you sit in your rocking chair. You’re going to want to see the humans you raised loving their own families and carrying on a bloodline legacy - and hopefully correcting some of your own parenting mistakes. To the *vast majority* of people who read this, trust me… Get married. Have kids. Lead them to Jesus. Win.

Many are capable, few are COMMITTED. Mike Tomlin nailed it. It’s not about what you’re capable of - it’s about what you’re willing to do. Many people have talent, but commitment and excellence are rare. Commit, show up, do the work, and stack the days.

@TJHannam10 Saw a video of Tony Gwynn doing this while growing up. He was a big bottom hand guy. Seemed to keep front side -shoulder working in correct direction.

If you had an off-season to train a player on developing better bat to ball skills.. How would you train? Let's hear it!

Every Christian needs to listen to this. Matt Walsh nails it. You have a moral obligation to vote against this regime. As a Christian you must vote against Kamala Harris. Period.

@TewksHitting Back elbow and hand should go together. The longer the back elbow is in front of the top hand the more you push and delay release of barrel. Pushes contact point to far out front

The more your rear elbow is forward (bat drag), the more you'll struggle due to being under plane. The higher your rear elbow, the more you'll be above plane and struggle with swinging down on the ball.

@TewksHitting Slotting the elbow without the hands moving can create a bad push pattern or a delay in the release of the barrel. Trout back elbow and hands move as one unit.

In baseball, it’s not physical size, but skill sets, baseball IQ, and compete factor that matter most. Interestingly …Competing, commitment, toughness all come from within. How bad do you want it … and what are you willing to do to succeed. Bottom line, can you outplay your competition day in & day out. Does your coach trust you the most to get the job done?

Life lessons from my father that I want to teach to my son: 1. You can tell everything you need to know about a person by observing how they treat service workers. 2. Hard work will never be overrated. You have to work hard if you want to get ahead. 3. You don't need to have an opinion on everything. It's perfectly reasonable to have no opinion on something that you haven't researched or don't understand. 4. You can get pretty damn far in life by just saying what you're going to do and then doing it. 5. Showing up early costs very little and pays off handsomely in the long run. 6. Waking up early is the easiest way to improve your odds of success. You don't have to wake up early to be successful, but you rarely find an early riser that isn't winning. 7. Having good posture is a physical and mental unlock for life. 8. Being kind to people is the only real life hack. Kindness remains severely underrated. 9. Consistency is everything. You should never bet against a person who just keeps showing up. 10. Most of us need fewer friends and more intellectual sparring partners. Friends are pleasant and easy to come by, but intellectual sparring partners question our assumptions and force us to level up. Those are 10 life lessons I learned from my father that I want to teach to my son. If you enjoyed this, follow me @SahilBloom for more in future.

I know a lot of kids out there are struggling with the pressure to achieve. JV, Varsity, Summer Ball, D1, D2, D3, JC, draft pick. Maybe this is your last summer, or maybe you will play for many more summers. Just remember, you are lucky enough to play a sport you love, as long as you can. Cherish every moment with your teammates, grinding to perfect your craft. These are life skills (and many others) that will serve you long after that jersey comes off, wherever the journey takes you. You are much more than a baseball player, and I know that can be scary to think about. Don’t EVER be afraid to ask for help, specially when that pressure starts to take over. If you don’t have someone to go to, my DM’s are always open! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
