@Super70sSports I remember recording a song from the radio, and I was late to press stop at the end, so I got about 4-5 seconds of the next song. This killer opening drum beat, heard it over and over, never knew what it was until years later. When the Levee Breaks.

Today in 1979, you patiently waited by the radio for three hours to record your favorite song. You finally got it, but it sounded like ass because the cassettes your mom bought were made by a 6-year-old Guatemalan boy using goat intestines.

@C_3C_3 I don’t believe that for a second. Antonin’s family covered up his death and there was no autopsy done. Absolutely no information was ever given. He was away on a Retreat. We all know what goes on with those Trips.

I just realized we had well water in my parents house. No fluoride. No wonder I was awake my whole life. I never drank fluoride water. And I used to use baking soda to brush my teeth.

@Wasabenut I make a weird toothpaste using baking soda, a little coconut oil and a little bit of oregano oil and peppermint oil. It makes my teeth feel strong. But it's an acquired taste 😂

To be fair to the boomers, they didn't have the access to the amount of information we had, but they really did question much either. I got mocked by my parents for asking all the right questions starting in the 70s. They still thought cigarettes were good and blew smoke in my 😔

@Jaytrigs @BarryOnHere I'm a fan of Tebow too, but the issues was the FG kicker carried the team, not Tim. NFL teams are terrible at developing QB's, practically non-existent beyond QB#1. Tim sought tutors too late after most teams wrote him off.

I'm old enough to remember when Tebow first blew up at Florida. Always thought he had to have been hiding some big secret bc there's just no way anybody is really that good of a person. 20 years later he is the only guy I can think of who was built up by the media to be a saint and has actually lived up to it. Also has a higher playoff passer rating than Tom Brady.

Tim Tebow hosted a red carpet event called 'Night to Shine' to celebrate and uplift individuals with special needs ❤️

My project for the afternoon: Gentle disassembly and scanning for YOUR AI project. But why? Current AI has lost knowledge of analog circuits and I am fixing this. These books were donated after being seen at an antique dealer, they sent it to me to do just this. But some very fine folks in AI, brilliant folks think I am insane. What they don’t yet understand is in these analog vacuum tube schematics are lost modern knowledge of analog math. Analog math (voltage, amps) operates nearly at the speed of light. AI uses this math in just about all ways and today 80% of the time and 90% of the energy is expended doing this math. None of these circuits have EVER been digitized. And your standard “AI training) folk like Reddit over the logic of schematics. Thusly I get 2 for 1 here. Not only do I get to build on AI’s ability to recover lost modern knowledge (not to fix TVs, but who knows) but also to encase in to AI models the logic of an analog designer. THAT LOGIC CHANGES HOW AI “THINKS” AND CREATES. So decades from now when the average person knows this as an axiom know that you and folks like you were awake and aware to save what others thought was a bunch of dusty old TV Repair Manuals from products long gone, but saw something of value. The value is even higher than I know right now. To those in this journey, thank you, deep gratitude. We are doing this not them.

Apparently they found approximately 1.5 billion worth of civil war gold/silver (9 tons) in a area, specifically a cave, where I used to hunt squirrels growing up. Treasure hunters found it, called the FBI, and the FBI took it and covered it up. Treasure Hunters sued and the story is hitting Popular Mechanics this week. 8 years of litigation later. Hopefully it makes the case books. The Legend of Dent's Run they call it.

My son died. I know he didn't contribute anything to mankind — he was only two months old — but I like to believe he was destined to do something good for humanity. It's been a while since his death, and I hate to dwell on it so publicly, but I wanted you to know him.

It took about a month in 2020 for the world to realise the economic impact of Covid and lockdowns already happening in Asia. This chart is a great representation of the magnitude of today’s oil shock going to hit the western economies very soon.

I don’t understand the desire to ingest toad sweat and other hallucinogenic substances when reality is barely comprehensible, in all of its strangeness and beauty, as it is. Whenever I go for a walk outside, I’m tripping. Trees, birds, people’s faces, the sun, clouds—the “real” is always preferable to a hallucination.
