A President doesn’t have a late-night temper tantrum over judges who refuse to do his bidding — unless he wants to take over the courts.  Trump wants judges loyal to him, not to the law. And we've already seen what these crony judges do: gut the EPA's power to protect your drinking water, hand corporations a free pass to pollute, and rubber-stamp whatever Trump puts in front of them. It’s all about loyalty. Trump’s appellate court judges are ruling in his favor more than any other president’s — by a wide margin. They’re not even pretending to be neutral.

Trump’s former personal lawyer Emil Bove stonewalled senators and refused to answer basic questions during his confirmation hearing. Senator Blumenthal was “utterly flabbergasted” — and for good reason. Bove is now a federal judge. For life.

President Trump has made clear that he does not respect the law or those who enforce it. That disrespect has a dangerous trickle-down effect; people are sending death threats to judges across the country for disagreeing with Trump. Trump's judicial nominees are puppets of his Big Lie. Andrew Davis and Anna St. John refused to say Biden won in 2020, instead signing on to another nominee’s evasive non-answer about the election and January 6th. This Supreme Court has lost the faith of the people because of this kind of blatant partisanship. It desperately needs reform.

These are lifetime appointments, and Trump is moving fast to fill every vacancy with loyalists who've already shown they'll put his agenda over your rights. Four Trump judicial nominees, four near identical answers that refuse to admit Trump actually lost the 2020 election. This is not the time for Democrats to look away. We need our elected officials to call out nominees who evade the truth out of loyalty to Trump.

Trump is not hiding it: He demands loyalty from justices on the Supreme Court and judges on lower courts. In Friday’s press conference on the Supreme Court ruling that the Trump Tariffs are unconstitutional, Trump made it clear that he sees judges as political appointments whose purpose is to rubberstamp his agenda, rather than serve as fair arbiters of the law and Constitution. The courts are supposed to check presidential power, not rubber-stamp it. We don't have a king. We have a Constitution.
