Early in the EYBL season (only 2 games) but 6-10 Kager Knueppel is tearing it up. He is 7-12 on threes thus far and playing far better D than in the past (2 blocks per game, 1.5 steals per game). And I can confirm that Duke is now talking to Kager about becoming a Blue Devil.

A forum of some candidates for governor (Republicans Mike Cox, Perry Johnson, Aric Nesbitt and Ralph Rebandt and Democrat Chris Swanson) is underway at the Michigan Press Association conference in East Lansing.

This wasn’t an easy decision, but today we will be withdrawing from the Governor’s race. Over the past 10 months, we’ve poured our hearts into this campaign—traveling across the state, meeting incredible people, and talking about what Michigan could be with bold, positive leadership focused on real solutions. We didn’t run this campaign alone. Jenell, Hannah, Thomas, Danny, and I are forever grateful to every single person who believed in this effort. You gave your time, your energy, your resources, and so much encouragement to our family. The Lord has blessed us with incredible friends, supporters, and family over these past several months, and we are truly grateful for each and every one of you. As the race has evolved, we’ve taken an honest look at the path forward. And at the end of the day, I’m not willing to compromise who I am or how I believe this campaign should be run in order to win. Michigan deserves better. And right now, that means coming together, focusing on what unites us, and doing everything we can to move our state forward in November. We are incredibly proud of what this campaign stood for. And while this chapter is closing, we are not going anywhere when it comes to fighting for the issues that matter.
