@sqanews Would love to but you changed the stipulations. You said you now need to currently be teaching a class of that level. So 7 years teaching N5 to AH stands for nothing. Yet retired teachers and others already in the system without certificate classes can continue to mark

@Buses_McGills my 14-year old daughter was on your bus a week ago when an internal glass fell out its hinges, cut her badly. She had to board another bus & pay again, to add insult to injury. I have spent hours trying to call you and have sent 2 emails with photos.

@Emma_Seith Just adding to the bottleneck of teacher recruitment in the hunt for permanent jobs. More and more are chasing each job. In a recent application I was 1 of nearly 200 (modern languages)

@SUBWAY Perhaps you should work harder to have bread in store. Only able to offer one type of bread (wheat only) is a load of nonsense. How can you run out of all types of bread? This is just another tactic to save money or staff cannot be bothered

@ScotTories Teachers currently on zero hour contracts (for me 8 years - 3 languages to offer and exceptional grades of myself and my pupils) should be offered permanent contracts before you recruit anymore teachers. There are over 200 chasing each permanent Job per subject

@Emma_Seith @JohnSwinney Full registration in French& German was useless- "German is on its way out". I did an additional eve degree in Spanish at my own expense (inc. residency). Full registration in 3 languages, exp in mainstream secondary, asn & private sector. What do I need to do to get a perm job?

@Emma_Seith @JohnSwinney I do not want to be a supply teacher. I want a permanent job. I gave up a career in translation for this. I have been jumping about doing supply and temp contracts for 8 years.

@searson_seamus is there any progress on pushing for retention payment for those of us who worked up to 18th December but have not had any work in 11 weeks? 4 local authorities I'm registered with and 3 independent schools are telling me there is still no work.

@ScotGovEdu @JohnSwinney Help schools to bring back German. Germany is the strongest economy in Europe, with which we should be keeping close trade contact. Create more permanent teaching jobs so German teachers can deliver the language in schools again

As part of Languages Week 2021 @johnswinney has confirmed councils will receive £2.4 million funding for the current year to support the continued teaching of languages through schools. This takes total funding to more than £35.6 million since 2013/14. #Scotlandloveslanguages

@JohnSwinney Straight As, 1st Class hons (French & German), an evening degree in Spanish (distinction), qualified badminton coach, 8 years' experience in mainstream, ASN and independent sector with excellent attainment, what on earth must candidates like me do to get a perm job?

@JohnSwinney so many do not even have supply work this term, never mind a permanent job. Local authorities do not value qualifications or experience - they are just looking to save money and will take NQT or RQTs to save money, leaving the rest of us in the gutter
